The first time I tried this beard balm, it had been given to me as a gift. I have since bought it twice more. It definitely makes shaping your beard more manageable but I really use it every day to keep away the itchy and dry skin under my beard that I can get when I don't use this balm! If I need a trim, I may still use a traditional beard wax after this balm but I always start when the balm. I apply it with a tooth brush (No! Not the same I use to brush my teeth!) and give it a good scrub in.

I have a very coarse beard, and after trying countless products, I can confidently say that the Scotch Porter Beard Balm is one of the best moisturizers out there. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and really helps to soften my beard and make it more manageable for styling.I’ve tried many oils in the past, but none of them have done as good a job at conditioning and taming my beard as this balm does.If I had to mention one drawback, it’s that the scent isn’t as noticeable as I’d prefer, but at least it’s subtle and not overpowering.If you’re looking for a high-quality beard balm that works especially well on coarse hair, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

Incredible product and fell in love to auto subscribe over a year ago. However, that was Miami Duppy scent, which was heaven to me. Best beard product I’ve tried in 10+ yrs. This one is same effectiveness, but not crazy about the scent. I’ve gotten used to it more than my initial reaction of wanting to return it, and it gets better after it sets in, like some colognes do. But comparing to Miami Duppy, that scent was on point in my opinion. May try to a new product until I see Miami Duppy available again.

This product will have your Beard soft and healthy looking and the jar a nice size, will buy again and again.

Excellent product, though I buy from Amazon.co.uk as the one I got had skin flakes and a nail in it. The one I got from UK Amazon was excellent and is easy to apply, has the right moisture level and it moistures perfectly and is the right thickness. Amazon confirmed it was indeed a shipping issue and so, the company indeed makes an excellent and well thought product!!!Highly recommend, just be sure to check inside as while, in the UK, Scotch Porter directly ships them, in the US, I found the the Amazon FBA warehouse didn’t adhere to basic standards and, mine was unhygienic.

I got this for my boyfriend as part of a gift.Cons:1) No seal: I was disappointed with the packaging. I opened it to make sure everything was good and it looks used. Lots of other reviews are saying this, too. I don't think that's the case, but because there is no seal on it, it's hard to tell.2) Sharp packaging: The packaging has sharp edges in the top of the container, so when you're unscrewing the lid, your fingers run along the container. He'll have to open it with his palm, then remove the lid to prevent that.Pros:1) Texture & Feel: The texture is smooth and it doesn't feel greasy. A little goes a long way.2) Scent: The scent is super sexy! Another reviewer said that it was too strong, but I highly disagree. I think it is something that if you're getting in close with someone to cuddle, they may not let go of you. It smells that good! But it is not at all overpowering. To me it smells like the slightest hint of vanilla and amber with a spicy, musky overall smell like the packaging suggests.
