Great for vevor mini kiln!
I have a vevor mini kiln with a pretty small interior. This fits perfectly! I just bought a second one along with some kiln posts to make a second level. The stilts/nails work very well too! They do leave a little indentation in the bottom of my piece, but it's pretty minimal and the majority of the stilts have retained their pointed tip

A must have for ceramic projects
Allows me to glaze underside without sticking. So far I've not lost a single pin. Also provides for better airflow around the piece. This is a follow up. I've been using these (yes I have more than one) and I consider them to be absolutely essential. They allow me to glaze the bottom of the piece which gives them a nice look. Sometimes the tip of some of the pins to stick (because I glaze the bottom) but break away cleanly losing only a small amount of the tip of the pin. In that case I have to sand those spots on the pottery piece but it's a tiny area. Even when that happens I can use the pin multiple times before having to discard the pin. This product come with spare pins but even after dozens of firings I have not used many. This is a product I cannot be without. I'm planning to upgrade to a larger kiln so will have to order more of this product.

Get's the job done! Hire Fire & Mid Fire
It's not perfect, but it get's the job done. I used it to fire a mug that I wanted glazed to the bottom of the outside areas in cone 10 high fire and it did amazing. The pegs can be hard to balance irregularly shaped items on and I'd like a larger one for larger items or to put multiple items on that go together. I currently have a somewhat larger item balanced on them in a cone 6 right now, and will see how it goes since I don't fire my own pieces.

Spikes flattened during firing
I used these to fire a very small casserole dish with a glazed bottom surface in a cone 5/6 kiln. The points on most of the pins flattened during the firing leaving a quite large marks where each pin touched the bottom. While this set did allow me to successfully fire the piece with a glazed bottom, I am disappointed that the marks are so visible. Note: some reviewers complained about the pins sticking to the glaze so I brushed mine with kiln wash first and that appears to have done the trick. I didn't have any issues with sticking.

A must have tool!
Worked excellently. One pin stuck momentarily but was removed easily with a tiny unnoticeable mark. An excellent tool.
