Great purchase for the money
High quality muslin. Medium weight. was very stiff when I first opened it so I washed it and used fabric softener and was much more pleased with it afterwards. I would not use this for the back of a baby quilt but I would use it for the back of an adult quilt or even as a complimentary fabric in say, a country quilt. I will certainly purchase from this seller again. It is thick enough that you cannot see through it it is definitely not a lightweight Muslin. it is softer than canvas after washing, but a little rougher texture than normal quilting cotton.

Decent cotton fabric for curtains, however fabric warps and wrinkles easily
We recently replaced 3 window blinds in our home with curtain rods for privacy concerns - people could see inside through the blind slats and along the sides of the window. Our previous experiences with cotton curtain panels for 2 different windows in our home weren't great because they shrunk unevenly in the wash, which shouldn't have happened considering their cost. Thus, we decided to purchase 10 yards of this cotton muslin fabric to make our own curtains (photos attached).Concerning the fabric:- Delivery: The fabric arrived folded and in 1 continuous piece, which was ideal for our purposes. From other reviews, it seems that this is not always the case?- Condition: The color was uniform throughout the 10 yards of fabric, and there were no stains. After washing the fabric, it was apparent that the fabric wrinkled, shrunk slightly, and warped along the selvage edges. The wrinkles were ironed out with minimal effort, although we had to replace our old iron halfway throughout the process (not due to the fabric). In cutting the fabric, it became apparent that the 2 selvage edges were not parallel - this makes squaring fabric pieces difficult.Crafting the curtains:We decided to make 2 curtain panels per window. Prior to cutting the fabric, we measured the height and width of the window frames. We made the curtain panels using these measurements with excess fabric and hemming considerations.- Curtain panel length = window height + 13in.The 14in. is composed of 4in. excess fabric above and below the window frame + 4in. to craft the top insert for the curtain rod + 1in. hem allowance for the bottom of the panel (13in. = 4in. x 2 + 4in. + 1in.).- Curtain panel width = (window width)/2 x 1.5 + 2in.The 1.5 scaling factor is to ensure that the curtain panels drape well and aren't too tight across the curtain rods. The 2in. is the hem allowance for the sides of the panel. The fabric was cut according to the calculated panel lengths and widths. Then, the curtain panel sides were double folded by 1/2in. and sewn down (2in. hem allowance noted). The curtain panel bottom was similarly double folded and sewn down. The top of the curtain panel was double folded, then folded by 3in. and sewn down to form the insert for the curtain rod.Example calculations: The large window in our living room measures 47in. high and 70in. wide.- Curtain panel length = 47in. + 13in. = 60in.- Curtain panel width = 70in./2 x 1.5 + 2in. = 54.5in.Since the fabric width happens to be 60in., 54.5in. wide panels were cut to craft the curtains. A photo of these particular curtains is attached.Curtain cost by window:When we purchased 10 yards of this fabric, the total cost was $30.56 prior to tax. This translates to $3.05/yd.- 47in. x 70in. window (used in example above and pictured): 3.028yds x $3.05/yd = $9.24.- 48in. x 46in. window (pictured): 2yds x $3.05/yd = $6.10.- 38in. x 46in. window (not pictured): 2yds x $3.05/yd = $6.10.Fabric wise, we used about 7yds and have 3yds of leftover fabric. Cost wise, using this fabric to make curtains certainly beats pre-made cotton curtains on the market.Despite the trouble with cutting warped fabric, we are ultimately pleased with the curtains we made. The fabric is thick enough that people cannot see us from outside and vice versa, yet still allowing in enough light so we don't have to turn on lights in the middle of the day.

Thicker than expected but still a great buy.
Good value for multiple yards. Using this material to make tailor's muslins the thickness of the fabric will affect drape and may not work for some projects but still a great buy. Package arrived on time and double wrapped to protect it. Will be buying again soon.

Exactly what I was hoping for.
If you're looking for a fabric that's silky soft to the touch, look elsewhere as this is more canvas material. Perfect for my decorative use - I spread this fabric across some dowels for a "drapery" look above our recliner. I know what muslin canvas fabric is because I use it regularly, so the texture and feel was what I expected. 5 stars and would purchase again.

it's scratchy
This product is heavier than most muslin, I bought it for quilt backing, but I'm not sure I want to use it for that because it's not as soft as I'd like it to be.

Very nice fabric
Very good quality—not full of dark brown specks as some unbleached fabrics have. Smooth texture. Good value for the money
