Q: Does this work directly with zigbee (e.g. hue bridge etc), or do you need another receiver on top to bridge to zigbee?

No it doesn't work directly with zigbee; it seems to use it's own protocol which means you'll need a bridge.

Q: Can someone tell me the maximum detection distance is?

Hi, Up to 40 meters in open space. If it will work thru wall it depends on wall thickness.

Q: Is this compatible with Alexa?

No, its just a wireless PIR that can trigger compatible wireless switches - I use one to trigger a security light without having to run a cable between the two (they're located about 20' apart). It has great range

Q: Will this work with a Friedland receiver ?

It might do with some experimenting. I was short of time so I bought a matching receiver and a weatherproof box. That worked first time.
