Oxford IB Diploma Programme: Physics Course Companion (IB Science 2014) Paperback – 6 Feb. 2014

Well structured and a good amount of information linked directly to the new syllabus. Some areas a little thin and will need to delve into other textbooks to get the necessary detail. Great use of past paper questions at the end of each Chapter - will the answers be available on the support website?

There has been lots of marks and ripped pages

NO ONLINE SUPPORT MATERIAL, NO answers to end of chapter problems. The book promises online answers and additional help at the website given, but that web page does not seem to exist, and I am auto redirected to a different website where all you can do is order more books. NO support/online materials are available as promised.Also, the number of exercises is very limited, there are many/ any in-depth IB style problems, multi part problems.A number of "worked out" examples are given within the sub-topics, but no exercises, until you get to the end of the chapter, then they are all piled together. It would be better (like with Chris Hamper's book) to put student exercises within the text material, AND at the end of the chapter.But that is the least problem, the lack of answers and worked-out solutions to end of chapter make this a deal breaker.Too bad, because the written text material is good, mostly. A bit disjointed like a section on fluid flow and momentum, rather difficult to read the way it was put. Seems like it could have used better editing for readability in some parts.I am only using this book because the IB coordinator purchased a set, but will not use Oxford press again.Much better choices are out there, I hear Chris Hamper has come out with a text, I would look into that.

Book is purchased for kids to study, very quick delivery.

I bought this book for my University Physics class because i have never had physics before. It has helped me understand the lectures better and enjoy the course. I definitely recommend this book to other students who would like to understand Physics better.

One page was written all over and folded. Th folded page was glued so that it could not be unfolded!!!
