Fun game
Good game. We adapted the size of the area to make it harder as it suited us. The magnets really attract or repel each other and sometimes a small movement in one area affects another area making it quite exciting!

It's fun
The magnets are super strong, the game is lots of fun and very simple to understand, there's not much to it and you can play on any flat surface, came in a smallish box which is great for storing it away.

Very loud "clacking" magnets
Item: Magnetic Chess with StonesCurrent price: £19.99A bit of an odd one perhaps, but one of my kids is extremely sensitive to sounds, and while this "chess" game is novel and a bit of fun for people who like competitive games, the loud clacking sound that the magnetic stones make when they slide into each other and stick together was such that we ended up not being able to play with them in the same room because they found the sound so distressing. If you've got any autistic or otherwise sound-sensitive family members, this may not be the game for you. With that aside, this game is a quick, simple play. The instructions included are pretty much nonsense, but fortunately once you've looked up the instructions online they are easy to remember. The only similarity to chess is that it's played between two people who take turns. I guess you could argue that there is some amount of strategy, but that is more similar to something like Jenga than chess. If you've had a few drinks it's a fun way to pass a few minutes, and if there are a few of you then the competitive element comes into play as you challenge successive players.A fun little game which isn't mentally taxing and is extremely quick to set up, play, and tidy away again.

Different to the usual games
This game is quite fun to play and is different to the usual games we play. It requires a steady hand and a bit of strategy. You have to lay the pieces down without their being drawn to each others. If the pieces connect you collect them. The person with no magnets left wins the game. The magnets are quite strong so you really have to think about placement for them. I got this game for a 12 year old that loves a strategic game and he really loved playing this one.

A fun and simple magnetic game
I like this fun and easy-to-play game. Unfortunately, the instructions are a little unclear, as they are not translated well from their original Chinese. However, after looking online, I found instructions for the game without much difficulty. There are two different ways you can play this game. The first, which my children enjoyed the most, involved you taking turns placing the magnetic pieces down inside the game area, created with the length of string included, whilst trying to avoid attracting any pieces to yours. Any pieces in the game area that get attracted to each other on your turn must be added to your set. This goes on until someone has placed all their pieces and wins the game. The second way to play the game involves dropping pieces onto the foam that is in the box the game comes in. This is still fun but more difficult and requires less strategy and more chance; at least that is how I felt. The game is very simple to play and is suitable for younger children and adults. The game requires some critical thinking and a little strategy and is fun and challenging. The game pieces, which appear as smooth, shiny stones, are powerful magnets and snap together with some force, so little kids will need to be supervised when they are learning to play the game.I think this is a fun and entertaining game, perfect for train journeys and weekends away, and thanks to the included drawstring bag, it is also nicely portable and easily packed away.A good little gift for Christmas.

Family fun for all ages
This game provides hours of great entertainment. Obviously whilst it requires some intellect (more in a logical way) and a steady hand, you can really play it across the generations from kids vs adults and it's all fun nonetheless. You're provided with many strong magnets and the idea is simply to put them all down within the rope (and it's definitely not that easy to achieve this without them all jamming up together)! If it's too easy you can simply make the rope circle smaller to make the challenge even harder. The only thing to worry about is how to safely store to extra strong magnets away from anything it can cause damage to (it has a flimsy plastic bag style case for portability if needed) but this is a very addictive game and highly recommend it!
