Digital Touch Screen Picture Frame - 15.6” Photo Frame, Connecting Families & Friends (Black/White Matte)

I was looking for a decent digital photo frame to show the memories of the family and see the memories of those missed loved ones for a while and I came across Nixplay a while ago and have Nixplay frames in our house. I came across Nixplay based on the reviews compared to others, I was a bit hesitant at first because of people mentioning about a subscription but I was also impressed on the reviews about its quality and functionality, so I ordered one Well our third frame has arrived, and guess what, we love it!! Its straightforward to setup out of the box, connect it to your WIFI, load their app on your phone which finds the frame straight away and links it to your account. Then just upload some photos and done! I must admit we all had a giggle at seeing some old photos while setting it up. But its well built, robust and has a brilliant screen display, you can change the transitions and have a timer / power saver mode for when you are not at home and is activated again by its motion sensor when you get near to the frame.. Overall it is a really great product and we are really impressed with it. You can create albums with certain photos and then choose which albums to play on what frames as well as add users to your account, like the kids and the wife (They are happy, uploading embarrassing pictures of Dad aka..ME lol) and all still on the free plan Yes, there is an option to upgrade the subscription plan where it will increase the photo storage to unlimited and provides a bit more functionality where you can upload and edit more photos, videos and even link to google as well as cover multiple frames which I also think is pretty cool as we have google devices in our home and all for a really decent price. I’ll be honest, like I said I was worried about the subscription at first but its really not a problem and you don’t need one but if you do want it. But upon looking into it, in fairness its extremely fairly priced in my opinion. I was shocked from reading some of the negative reviews and quite frankly I think the reviews are a bit off putting and misleading for anyone that would want something like this to share their memories. It’s absolutely fab!!! But like most things these days, if you want more then you pay for it – just like your TV Subscription I guess, look at firesticks for an example, you buy the stick and you can do certain things for free but then you see a program you want to watch or an app you want and guess what, you have got pay for it….. So, if you want to do more or watch more then you pay for it – just like any other online services I guess and YES, we did upgrade too – this is applied to your account so it covers the frames that are added to your account, this is now our third purchase and will certainly buy another Anyway, I personally would buy this again as we love it and the kid’s now want one in their rooms 😊

A Classic Bait-and-Switch – Now Forced to Pay for What Was Once Free I originally purchased multiple Nixplay frames because they offered free and reliable cloud storage, allowing me to share precious memories with family members effortlessly. However, Nixplay has now pulled a classic bait-and-switch—after investing hundreds of dollars in these frames, I’m now being forced into an annual subscription just to use basic features that were once free. The sudden downgrade of free users to a crippled Basic Plan with severe content limits feels scammy and unfair. If I had known that Nixplay would hold my content hostage unless I paid a yearly fee, I would have never purchased their product. This move is nothing more than a cash grab, prioritizing profit over customer trust. To make matters worse, the CEO’s email justifies this change by blaming “rising costs” while comparing themselves to competitors—except those competitors made it clear upfront that they require subscriptions, unlike Nixplay, which lured in buyers with false promises of free storage. If you’re considering buying a Nixplay frame, think twice—you’re not just paying for the frame, you’re committing to a recurring fee just to use it properly. This is not what I signed up for, and I feel completely misled.

Originally bought one of these for my Nan. She loves it and watches it daily. I've since bought one for my mum and mother in Law and now my sister wants one too! Its easy to set up and add photos and short videos. I manage them from my phone using the nixplay app. You can add plenty of photos and share a link so others can add photos too. My 78 yr old mother in law has managed to download the app and upload photos to hers too so its also good for the technically challenged! There is a randomiser function too though i do find some pictures come up more often than others but you can set it to cycle through one by one if you want. The timer function is great as you can set it to come on and turn off when you wish and then leave it which is best for my nan who at almost 100 doesnt like to mess with it at all! The picture quality is brilliant, very clear- even with older pictures. I do tend to wait for a sale to buy the frame- usually about £100 which i think is great value for money with the ampunt of use they get and the pleasure they bring! We are often suddenly exclaiming about a memory as we catch a photo come up we havent seen for ages! Can highly recommend as presents that will be greatly appreciated and loved for years to come.

I am thrilled with the quality of your products and services. Their appearance is clean, crisp, and well-crafted. The product quality is always exceptional, exceeding my expectations. The image on the frame is truly amazing. I had an exceptional experience using this software because it's user-friendly and intuitive, and the app has made my work much simpler Sharing my preferred photos with my family and remembering all the best moments together is something I enjoy.

After my last two reviews have been rejected for telling the factual truth I vowed not to submit another one however, this product is good, but the stand is really bad. Yes, the stand (a stiff tube) is innovative and connects the power to the unit, but it means the unit has to be placed too far from the wall behind which looks so out of place on a hall table. No SD Card access which would have worked well however the unit is reliant upon a Wi-Fi connection otherwise it simply will not work. Get a new router and you will have to spend lots of valuable time resetting everything. It took me a couple of hours to fathom how it worked and I was still not fully sure of all its secrets. After all the hassle, researching setup on the internet etc I have to say once set up correctly it is rather good - but be prepared to spend lots of time 1. Learning the system and 2. Setting up your photos.

Over the past years I have purchased 3-4 frames from these people, it has 'always' arrived earlier than expected, the frame turns on and just works effortlessly, unfortunately the last frame I ordered was faulty, they refunded the money in full along with the shipping cost to return it. They kept in regular contact with me and nothing was a problem for them, I will always buy my frames from these people and nobody else, they are the best.

We love this product so much that we bought 3 for long distance grandparents. It is easy to use. We upload new pictures on a daily basis to keep it up to date. The setup is easy and the app is easy when you want to upload. You can upload videos as well but I think that requires an updated. What is also amazing is that you can share the picture frame link to other people so people can upload their photos as well. My in laws have grandchildren in a few different places and everyone is able to download own photos into the grandparents' picture frame. What an amazing gift idea.
