Works great
I am a beginning welder - teaching myself. This wire feeds nicely through my welder and I am able to lay down a decent bead. Any flaws or errors are likely attributable to my own ignorance rather than related to the wire. The amount of scale seems consistent with the other flux core wires I gave used and it cleans up nicely. I gave only used this outdoors but a light breeze does not seem to cause any problems.

Great wire! (I am new to welding)
I got this to replace a similar wire in the welder I recently acquired that was rusted. I was easily able to feed in this wire and do a test weld. My welds are not the best, but again, I am new to this type of welding. If nothing else, it makes great practice wire for me. I recommend and would buy it again.

Quality flux core wire.
This is a quality flux core wire for use in wire feed welders. With this wire shielding gas is not needed. The flux core melts and covers the molten metal as you weld. This wire is suitable for all welding positions. This wire welds well and has good tensile properties for use in most applications. This wire doesn’t seem to splatter as much as lower quality wire. If you’ve ever had any subpar wire then you’ll definitely appreciate this wire. I wish there had been a 10lb spool. I will use this wire again.

Easy to weld with
I tested three different welding wire. The other two were .030, while this was 0.35. I tested them all on 1/16th sheet metal. This makes the test slightly unfair too the Sidco reviewed here as it is the thickest wire, but it handled it very well. It actually gave the largest variation in weld speed before punching through. The two smaller wires punched through faster for some reason. The Sidco is the middle of the three tested.Note that my testing was more for how easily it punched a hole, not how well it welded since all three would have a good ability to weld sheetmetal. The Sidco as mentioned handled the largest variation in weld speed before punching through, but it just didn't sound/feel as nice as the first place holder. Personally I think its done really well welding thin sheetmetal. The top/left is the HF "V" series wire in 0.30" and its not my favorite wire but it does well on thicker steel. This wire welds easier and is thicker so I have no doubt it would also do a better job with heavier material. If you are trying to weld sheelmetal, this will do it on 1/16", but I'd stick with thicker material. To be honest though, they all weld very similar.

Excellent wire
I have a small portable flux core welder that is very convenient for jobs I have to go to. But not all flux core wire is created equal. This Sidco brand is one of the good ones, it lays down a nice bead and has minimal splatter. It pernitrates well and makes strong welds. If you use flux core, give this a try, you will not be sorry.

Seems to be good quality
I have not had a chance to use this yet but I did open it and check it out and compare it to other spools that I have and I can say that it feels like it is made the same quality as the other ones that I have. I ran my fingers up and down it to see if I could feel any imperfections that might snag in my gun or through the feeding tube in the machine going down my hose to my gun and it was nice and smooth. I also bent it back and forth to see what kind of flexibility it had before it would break and it did rather well.

Welds smooth with very little splatter.
I am a farmer who welds not a professional welder. I used this wire to weld a nut to a small square plate for my tractor bucket skid feet. The wire used the same settings that I use for other brands of wire on similar metals. The arc was easy to start and control. I was amazed at the low amount of splatter. The first photo is after welding and the second photo is after cleaning the weld with a wire wheel. You can see there is very little splatter and and the welds are smooth and even. The price is less than similar wire at my local welding supply shop. Highly recommended. I would buy this welding wire again.
