These fire blankets are an excellent value for the quality you get. I’ve purchased "higher-end" versions before, but these hold up just as well for a fraction of the cost. The fact that you get two in the pack is a bonus, and the clear, easy-to-read instructions printed right on the front make them very user-friendly in an emergency. Each one has a metal eyelet for convenient hanging, or you can simply hold the one end and pull the tabs to release the blanket quickly when needed. Safety first!! I'm a fireman in south Florida. I can honestly say with the amount of kitchen fires I have all the time that these blankets would prevent so many fires I get called to all the time. I recommend them to the homeowners all the time as well. I saw these and couldn't resist. For the price you're crazy not to have these in your kitchen. I bought them for all my grown kids homes as well. Just place them in a quick accessable place where everyone knows where to find it. Directions on the outside are very easy to understand. Highly recommend!!!

These look to be very well made. Such a great idea. I pray that I'll never need to use one. Got this multi pack so I can put one or two in the shop, one in the kitchen and one in the RV. Now I want to get a couple jumbo versions of these as well. Couldn't give that 5th star without having used one.

Ordered these after my neighbor had a grill fire. Now we are prepared! This is a great value for a multipack with the peace of mind you get. The packaging is really durable with mounting grommets so you can hang anywhere. Quality seems superior so let’s just hope we never have to actually use them.

Be careful when handling this item. Wear gloves. It looks like some unseen but felt sharp dust particles found on the surface that can damage your skin. My fingers' skin suffered so.

Why is there no warning on the pack..of this blanket itself being a potential hazard?!??!? I bought two of these and naturally wanted to check them by opening them. A big lesson learnt in a very painful way. The manufacturer (these are made in china)/distributor/seller should be held accountable for this criminal lapse. After opening and feeling with my bare hands the texture of both the blankets, my hands, arms and legs started to sting and itch and became flushed because of thousands of loose fibreglass particles that clung to my body and clothes. So much so that they even penetrated through my light cotton frock and onto my undergarments. The stinging and pricking was like a thousand needles poking through my skin all at the same time..which actually was the case on a very invisible level as the glass shards are very minute and looked more like soft super fine glitter on the skin! They just feel the exact opposite. PLEASE BE WARNED: HANDLE THE BLANKET WITH GLOVES ON ONLY IF AND WHEN THE NEED BE. KEEP CHILDREN ABSOLUTELY AWAY FROM IT. PLEASE. IDEALLY WEAR GLOVES, MASK AND SAFETY GOGGLES AND AWAY FROM A WINDY AREA WHILE HANDLING IT, IF HANDLING IT OUT OF SHEER CURIOSITY. I pray that no one should ever find the need for them. They are uncoated, hence, the fibreglass shards are loose and fly everywhere. I wonder how 'safe' this blanket itself will be in time of need as it brings along its own set of severe complicatons! It's been over 48 hours and i am still feeling the pain from the many shards that are still embedded into my skin, especially my palms and fingers. Moreover, the shards have left may minute cuts on the skin that not only have made my hands rough like never before, but also caused them to sting even more when i use soap. If you ever find yourself going through the same ordeal, then kindly: WASH YOUR HANDS/BODY GENTLY WITH COLD WATER AND SOAP A FEW TIMES AS COLD WATER SEALS THE PORES OF THE SKIN. DO NOT RUB OR SCRATCH. GENTLY PAT DRY YOUR SKIN WITH A SOFT NAPKIN AND DO NOT REUSE IT UNTIL IT IS WASHED PROPERLY. USE PACKAGING OR DUCT/BROWN TAPE TO GENTLY PLACE ON THE AFFECTED AREA AND THEN LIFT IT TO REMOVE AS MANY SHARDS AS POSSIBLE (do check out some helpful videos on youtube). DO NOT TOUCH AND RUB YOUR EYES OR ANY OTHER MUCUS MEMBRANOUS BODY PART. TAKE A COLD WATER SHOWER IF POSSIBLE. LUKE WARM IF NOT COLD. PAT DRY GENTLY. USE GENTLY A GENTLE MOISTURISER TO SOOTHE AND SOFTEN THE ROUGHNESS AND IRRITATION OF THE AFFECTED AREA. WASH THE AFFECTED CLOTHES SEPARATELY. DO NOT INHALE THE PARTICLES. AVOID DIRECT CONTACT WITH SKIN AND ESPECIALLY EYES. Stay safe (i'd suggest that you stay away from this blanket. Have discarded mine..can't take the risk again). Rather, keep a small portable fire extinguisher (also available on amazon) at home and in the car. I certainly have (and have gifted them to family members too). The fire blankets were just another safety measure i took, but have totally discarded them now. Take care..especially of the little ones 👍🙂

B very careful when using this. The fibre glass splinters or micro particles will stick to ur body n cause severe itching n irritation... Like there are pieces of glass poking all over ur body.
