It works consistently and doesn't require ear buds.
I've used this now for over 3 weeks and it seems to work well and functions as advertised. I purchased the Syryn underwater player prior to this even tho a number of reviewers said it broke right away and they were right. It did break right away. I used it once. Since I also had problems with the ear buds staying in my ears, I decided I wanted one of the ones without ear buds. I was reluctant to try this since it didn't have very many reviews and I very much rely on reviews when purchasing on Amazon. The only other player that didn't require ear buds also had many people saying it broke easily or didn't work. However, for this one all of the reviews it did have were pretty positive, so I decided to take a flyer. And so far I'm glad I did. Even the Ipod waterproofs had negative reviews and people saying they stopped working etc. But not this one. It's worked as advertised. I wish you could contact them with a phone number, but you can't. They are apparently a Chinese company that manufactures this, but their American distributor does respond to questions. The documentation is quite sparse and there are some things that are not documented. The player only recognizes a flat structure or one folder, so you can't organize songs by album or musician. Also, I don't have documentation for this, but apparently when the player needs to be charged, it will turn on then turn off within a few seconds, and that's how you know it needs to be charged. But it works consistently. The sound isn't great, but you're not buying this for the quality of the sound. It does help me not mind how long my swims take and that's what it's for and it holds more than enuf music. So of all the players out there, and I researched the hell out of this, I think this is the best one at a reasonable price and certainly the best one that doesn't need ear buds.

works as expected under water
As of this writing (August 2018), I have had this product for around three months. For an underwater product, exposed to chlorine and ocean water, it seems to be holding up. As suggested, I always rinse it under the kitchen faucet to get rid of chlorine and/or ocean salt water after each use. I also open the area where the charging cable connects to and wipe out any water. This is also recommended in the instructions. The battery charge seem to hold pretty good - no big complaints there. I typically swim three-ish times a week for 2 hours at a time, seems to hold charge for that use.Transferring songs onto this mp3 player has been pretty easy. Plugged the USB in PC, showed up like a thumb drive on the PC then it was pretty much a 'drag and drop' process. It doesn't require any special software. If you are iTunes user, you will need to find the folder where all your music sits in, navigate there then you can 'drag and drop' from that folder onto this device. For those who are PC familiar, should be pretty easy. Not sure how macs handle this, I don't have one of those so can't help you there.Lastly, the sound quality - well, it sounds like an AM radio. I don't get any deep bass, whatsoever. I do use good quality silicone ear plugs to keep the water out so thee ears are definitely plugged up. With the ears plugged up, the bone conduction audio works well. It is NOT audiophile quality sounding device. Given that, it is a lot of fun to hear music underwater with these. Prior to this mp3 player, I bought the finis duo, returned it immediately, had a hard time getting that to even turn on.If you want music underwater, this is a must.

Bone Conduction Rocks. No pressure in ears. No ear plugs to fall out.
I own several brands of underwater bone conduction mp3 players for my daily lap swimming. I used a knock off brand of the Beker device and was worried that it was crapping out so I invested in this new one. It works and plays as it should and the sound is very clear with no problem hearing it while swimming (or any other non-water sport). I like it as it is a one piece device (Finis brand has 2 head pieces to position on your goggle straps as well as major charging problems they haven't seemed to be able to resolve) and, you can affix the Beker to your goggle strap (or included headband) on any part of the skull and get full sound. Sound quality is good but not spectacular. Hopefully this will keep improving with upgrades to the device. Once you use one of these devices, you don't know how you swam without it. Kudos for great technology and design. User manual was missing from box. Since I already knew how to operate it from my knock off device, this wasn't a functional issue for me. Also, Amazon product page has a diagram of the device buttons. I will also note for those who have no experience with these devices that they are not user friendly to adjust buttons (volume, Pause, FF etc.) either in or out of the water. They are small, hard to read and could use improvement. Also, since device is advertised with its main feature as being able to swim with your ears uncovered, I wear my cap and cover my ears. No problem with sound transmission for those who prefer to have ears under cap. Hope this gives you enough incentive to treat yourself to an underwater symphony.

most of the time it sounds like a tin box
I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I cannot and even 4 stars are a little exaggerated: most of the time it sounds like a tin box. The range of sound frequencies it conducts by vibration though your bone is very narrow, so if you need beat and rhythm, you will definitely get it. Also the sound won't be disappearing like with ear plugs, but if you need the quality sound - I am telling you right now: this product needs a lot of improvement. Just because of this only reason I would have given it a much lower rating, but I won't because the concept is great and I feel that since it is so new in the market, hopefully they will tweak sound quality in the nearest future editions. From the positive sides - I like that is it positioned on the back of your head, the charge time and the battery life are very good. And though the sound is metallic, it never gets completely muffled like with ear plugs when you get water inside your ears.I make sure that I dry the charge compartment properly before charging because water still leaks into if though rubber lead. I will see how long it will last me.

the sound is very tiny
bought this product to move away from in the ear under water mp3, I used the first version of swimp3 that uses bone conduction many years ago, I can confirm that this product is not up to task in terms of sound clarity and quality. the sound should amplify under water but not the case with this one , in fact you could hear the speaker as if it was normal speaker once you out of the water which is unusual for the bone conduction.I guess I should keep on the look out for the arrival of good quality under water bone conduction headphones that works with any mp3 player.

I love the fact that this product is wireless but the sound quality is not the best!

Diese Gut!
Das Lange suchen hat ein Ende! Rundum zufrieden, tut was es soll.
