loved it just what i needed and got!!

Bought this for my son, but ended up reading it myself. Liked the characters and found it very engaging. I recommend this for kids who don't find it hard to get engaged in a story.

Got book. Just as ordered. Fast to ship. Met every expectation.

Read this for a book club (adult group who occasionally read YA). All of us were really taken by the ease with which the author brought to life the characters and the story in such an accessible way. We read all four and this was definitely my favourite. Only takes about an hour to read so would be good for reluctant YA readers.

Il s'agit d'un roman jeunesse qui peut être lu dans sa version originale anglaise même par des personnes n'ayant que des notions scolaires de la langue. On s'attache vite au personnage principal qui décide coûte que coûte de sauver un petit blaireau et de tout faire pour le rendre à sa mère alors que lui n'en a plus. C'est une histoire courte, efficace et de qualité.

I bought 'Brock' for nephew (he's a McGowan fan) and when it arrived, it looked so very pleasing with its attractive cover and illustrated page design, I couldn't resist a sneaky peek. Well, the book might appear pretty, but it certainly doesn't gloss over its subject matter: the story of Nicky's fight to save local badgers from destruction deals with big themes. Injustice and violence, love and understanding; it's rare a book is so sparely written, yet covers such broad emotional terrain.It's published under a 'Teen' label, but it's a story that will touch readers of all ages, and would make a great gift.

Bought for my 12 year old son who is an avid reader and was attending a workshop with Anthony McGowan. H e loved it. Wants the sequel which is yet to be written (but apparently will be). Fast easy read.

Great book for early teen boys. Story is about boys and there is danger and a good story line that keeps moving.
