Lasted a year of working holiday daily use
I bought these boots after much research when planning a year long working holiday trip in South and North America, and I'm so glad I did. Fully waterproof through all kinds of weather and hiking through streams, I only cleaned and re proofed them about 3 or 4 times. Wore them most days, and the sole was amazingly strong despite regular clambering over rocks, they only developed a hole once returning to the UK. They were super comfortable, I had bought insoles initially as I have a high arch but didn't need them, the leather moulded to my feet after a week or two as well. They do crease at the toe, so using wax will prevent them cracking and forming a hole there. My only gripe is that the laces can catch on the metal hoops of the opposite shoe, as happened to me once causing a pretty bad fall when I was carrying something heavy. However this only happened as I was crossing my feet in front of each other catwalk style.I plan on buying these again when heading off on more adventures. Durability, comfort, style all A++++.

Perfect walking boots, these are the ones to buy...
Fantastic walking boots!I have spent weeks trying to find a pair of boots that fit just right, not too big, not too small, not too heavy or cumbersome and something that won't break the bank. I've tried Brashers, Karrimors, Gelert - the whole range from super cheap to super expensive.I even bought two pairs of Hi-Tec from Amazon as the reviews were so good I thought I'd just try everything. When these arrived they were a revelation. I'm a size 5, but most size 5 boots in other brands squashed my big toe - these, however, are a perfect fit. I also have broad feet and the boots accommodate them perfectly. The ankle is just the right height, enough support without being restrictive or rubbing. The craftsmanship is superb. The hi-tec boots looked like an amateur had pieced them together, with the Grisport boots, the leather is real quality and has been perfectly cut and sewn. They have a vibram sole (which hi-tec don't have) that should last for years. Walking in them has been incredibly comfortable and they are so light for leather boots. As the other reviews note they look tiny for walking boots If you can afford them, these are the boots to buy. Just bought a pair for my mum too. Well made, high quality, light, comfortable and stylish - what more could you want.

Check your EUR size!
The boots look great, quite light, seem well made, leather is lovely. I have yet to walk any distance in them but I wanted to review them for the sizing, I'll comment another day if they prove to be uncomfortable or fall apart. I agree with other reviewers that they don't make your feet look ridiculously huge as others do. They lost a star over the EU to UK size conversion.I am a size 7 but a bit wide so usually wear a 7.5 or 8 in a normal boot so I ordered size 8. They arrived, I tried them on and thought they felt quite good if a little snug that I might struggle to get a thick pair of boot socks on. Also I could feel the crease at the bottom of the laces when you bend your toes on top of my foot but thought being leather they might stretch. However when I took them off I noticed that the label on the inside of the tongue said they were an EUR size 41. Since the last pair of normal boots I bought were size 8 EUR 42 I double checked with Google and a 41 is a UK7 and a EUR 42 is a UK8 (although the Amazon size list states 40 as UK7 and 41 as UK8 so technically the boxes are labelled correctly). I had noticed that one reviewer had commented on the crease being a problem pressing on her toes and she felt they were a bit on the small side. So bearing this in mind I ordered a UK9 and I received a EUR 42 which I was hoping for. Now this pair also fitted but on the more generous side as I would expect a walking boot to be, with room for a good pair of boot socks. There is no indication that the crease under the laces might become a problem. Ideally I would have preferred a half size but they fitted as I expected a size 8 boot to fit. They My partner is a size 9 so I asked him to try the boots on - I needed reassurance that I really wasn't wearing a size 9 boot on my size 7 feet! Happily he said that although he could get his feet in them he wouldn't wear them coz they were too tight. Yeah! I have kept the EUR42. I have tried on lots of walking boots recently in the high street stores and these are by far the best quality and at first try the most comfortable They look great and if they do stretch I can put an insole inside and wear thicker socks. Now I've indicated the size as moderately small based on the UK label size as they are sold on Amazon. However, if you work on the EUR size 41 being 7 and 42 being a UK8 I would say they would Fit as Expected based on the fact that I believe walking boots are usually made with a slightly more generous fit compared to other everyday boots.

Love these boots!
Absolutely love these walking boots! They were so comfortable right out the box I didn’t need to break them in at all. I did buy hiking/walking socks to wear with them. They fit perfectly and are definitely very waterproof! I did buy wax from grisport to keep them looking good and to keep them waterproof. They are lightweight and don’t feel like you’re wearing divers boots like my last ones from another company. I think they look great on too. I simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and they come up lovely.

Best budget boot
Grisport came third behind Altberg and Zamberlan in the Which magazine review of hiking boots. The boot has proved comfortable and stable in wet and dry conditions with no blisters and I’m very happy with them.Take good care of these boots and they’ll take good care of you.PS. They are an accurate fit for me, I did not size up or down.

Very comfy straight out the box…not very waterproof though!
I got these as usually I buy scarpa at twice the price, these looked the same. However, they were definitely more comfortable quicker, immediately, but almost as soon as I walked through wet grass my socks and feet were wet. Honestly I’d rather pay double the price for the scarpas. Sadly they’re just not waterproof enough for even a semi wet dog walk.
