This light is awesome !
Better than anything i have had. Very compact and fits in almost any seat assembly. Super bright snd good battery life. The brake light is awesome and really does work. Theres enough modes to get the job done. The bottom light is really cool for lighting the road under the bike. Motorists notice this light very well unless they are texting while they driving - but i have a mirrcycle mirror on thr bike and i am always observing motorists driving behaviors so i can bail off thr road when someone isnt going to give me road space. Very please with this purchase.

incredible light!
I would buy it a 100% again. The charge lasts a very long time, it lights up a lot, it is practical and economical if compared to other premium brands.

Nice light
Great light. Small but bright. USB C charging is fast and convenient. Light is secure when in use but easily removable for charging or during stops. It is somewhat difficult to determine what your current setting is, but pretty much all of them are sufficient for my needs.

Very disappointed!
UPDATED REVEIW! I originally gave it 4 stars but had to knock it down to 1 when the replacement they sent me only worked 1 time! After that it wouldn't charge, just got very hot. So I sent it back and will find something else.Original review (4 stars) Nice and lightweight, easy to use and gives off great light. However, took off 1 star because they sent me a used one! The strap for the seat post was broken and there was a different sticker on the bottom of the package which was not wrapped in cellophane. They did replace it quickly and sent a new unused one that I am currently using now.

Can fasten to back of helmet
I took the Y-shaped plastic adapter that was included for the purpose of hanging the light under the saddle (seat) and attached it to the back of my helmet with zip ties (see pic). This approach has worked very well for me and I feel that my safety is enhanced with this placement.Besides that, this ‘smart’ light adjusts the brightness and light pattern, based upon the ambient conditions.I love it!

Great light, but bad battery
Update: I did reach out to magicshine and they replaced my light with their warrantee on the battery. Great customer service responded to my email in 24 hours and I had a replacement in about 5 days. Raising my score from a 2 to a 4 for this.I have been looking for the perfect rear bike light and thought this was it. I wanted a bright rear tail light as I do a lot of commuting to work and use some streets that have some heavy traffic. I ended up buying this one after LOVING my Magicshine 1200 front light. This light is very bright and I like that it also has a light that aims down lighting up the ground underneath you for extra visibility from all directions. It charges by USB C which was something I really wanted as most other lights still use micro USB and those cables are getting obsolete and I prefer all my stuff to charge with the same cable. So far, it has been doing every thing I wanted it to. I also love that this light had a quarter turn twist And lock mount for super easy attaching to the bike. This is very similar to a Garmin mount but a little smaller. One thing I wish this light would do is remember the setting you were on when you turn it back on. There are a lot of settings and it feels like you have to scroll thru all the presets every time you turn the light on. That I can live with, but the issue is the battery. Unless you charge it every day, this will not last. They are talking about 30+ hours of battery life in the adds. But I ride an hour a day and I can only get a day or two and its done (2 hours total). I would love to find a light that I can charge on Sunday and will last (5) 1 hour rides until the next Sunday.I have also done some longer rides that were about 6 hours long and only about half the time it would last until the end. The RN1200 headlight is amazing and will hold a charge for days, I wish this light was as reliable.

Bike tail light
It’s bright with several light choices. Not terribly expensive. As an avid biker I highly recommend it!!

Perfect & ingenious rear light-
This is my favorite rear bike light by FAR. I've used the Knog lights, Bontrager, Planet bike lights, and a variety of cheap blinky lights. One of the main reasons is the secondary light which shines downward and illuminates the ground. It makes me feel more visible and I've noticed that cars give me more room. That might also be because this light is super bright. The battery is excellent and the smart brake light lights up when braking. All in all I just feel safer using this light. My other favorite feature is the seat rail mount which is super discreet and minimal. The light easily twists on and off for charging and is high enough on the bike that's it not obscured by my panniers. I've found other lights which incorporate rubber straps tend to brake over time and just don't look as nice.My only quibbles with the light would that it uses micro-usb rather than usb c but that is the same with all my bike lights. In my dream world these kind of lights would use wireless charging so they could be easily placed on a charging mat rather than fiddling with usb cables. All in all this is the best rear bike light I've used and surprisingly affordable considering all the features. I almost didn't buy this because I wanted to get a "fancy" rear light. I'm glad I chose this one.

Very good bike light. Illuminated road
Very bright and the road being lit up below is a brilliant idea. Anything that ensures you are seen is a great idea. USB C charging is a great to have too.
