just what you expect from a rubber mallet
Just what you would expect from a rubber mallet. Durable, functional, well made. I use mine for pounding cutlets and for carpentry.

High Quality, High Value, Made in USA
This is actually my second one. I loved the first one so much I ordered a larger size. I use it all the time, from assembling furniture to providing a gentle "bump" to bike parts during assembly. Every toolbox should have a deadhead hammer.

Really nice mallet
I have a brick in sand patio and occasionally have to lift bricks and reset either because they become uneven or to remove weeds, etc. This mallet is very comfortable, sturdy and really does the job pounding the brick back into place before I re-sand. You get what you pay for and this mallet is worth it. Made in the USA. Trust Estwing.

NOT made in USA
I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is happy with the overall quality. I'm subtracting 2 stars for false advertising - the listing clearly states 'made in the USA', but there is a sticker on the handle stating 'made in Taiwan'. Disappointed in the company (Estwing).

Really well built. The mallet is surprisingly tough and holds up to my abuse.

Not a USA made item. Taiwan trash now. Hard to purchase Estwing from Amazon now, they only send out garbage now.

It's a rubber mallet and it will probably do what a rubber mallet does. HOWEVER, I'm pretty disappointed that it's no longer made in the USA, meaning the description and picture are wrong. It's now "Made in Taiwan with further processing in the USA"...what does that even mean?!? *Sigh*

The last one of these I bought was made in USA, and the images shown on the website also depict it as made in USA. BUT this one that just showed up is MADE IN TAIWAN. I would not have spent this much on a mallet made in Taiwan. Will probably be returning.
