If you buy a replacement key from the car dealer ship (i.e peugot) you pay something stupind like £100 + for a replacement, but if you buy one of these and just replace the key blade you only have to pay a few £. I did find removing the blade a little tricky, but if you google replacing car key blade, you can usually get a good "How to" guide that will show you how to do it. I have bought several versions of these devices for my family's various vehicles, and they have lasted several years so far and are still going strong.

When buying make sure you get the correct key for your fob some have the battery contained in the fob housing, in mine the battery is located in the circuit board, the blades differ but as I swapped mine over this did not matter... there is a tiny roll pin to knock out warm your blade with a lighter to soften the glue and pull out the blade I used pva glue when refining into the new fob And refit roll pin... ( much better than the original )

I cannot stress enough how glad I am that I bought this. My car key fell apart in my hand and was completely broken. I was looking at £140 replacement but someone suggested I try buying a replacement shell. It arrived really quickly and at first looked daunting to transfer the key contents but it was quite easy. The fiddly bit was getting the pin out of the key but other than that- no problems. My key is good as new and is even better than the original. I was even able to take the Citroen label out of the old one and add it on for the perfect finish.Absolutely recommend this.

A perfect replacement key fob shell for a Citroen Berlingo 2012 as a fraction of the price of the genuine Citroen equivalent. Easy to transfer over the innards and working perfectly. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

Saved myself £40 with this! The circuit board is a bit lose so not sure if buttons work but been walking around unable to use the buttons for so long already it doesn't bother me. Just happy it doesn't fall apart everytime I try to turn it!

Tiny pin screw to knock out and replace to set you old blade, take guts out of old fob and place them in the new one, pop the car logo out and use some super glue to place it in the new fob and bobs your uncle. Easy enough, slightly fiddly.

I swapped the key and circuit board from my old key over into this new shell, as my old one was falling apart, I nearly lost the key many times. The old remote would not work, after I swapped it over to the new one, now it’s like brand new and works every time.
