I replaced the old school fire extinguishers I had in my home with these. I love that they are simple to use for everyone. I would definitely suggest this item for any home.

We haven't used it and hope never to use it. But, on the other hand, having it hanging up in our kitchen or workshop if we did need it could be a lifesaver.Simple, easy to use.

These blankets are literally life savers. Should you have a small kitchen fire, grab this blanket and lay it over the fire to suffocate it. This is so much faster than getting out your fire extinguisher. Hang it up in your kitchen next to your fire extinguisher.This blanket can also be used to wrap yourself in should you be in a house fire. Or you could hold it over your head to protect you while getting out of the house. Life saver!Hopefully you will never have to use this blanket, but should the occasion arise, you will be so glad you have one hanging in your kitchen or in your camper.Everyone should have one or two in their home. Got this to keep by my forge in case of a fire, but haven't used it yet and hope I never have to. It seems to be of good quality though and has a nice weight to it.

This is one of those items no one is thinking about, until something happens. For this only reason, I would recommend buying this emergency fire blanket and keeping it handy. For example, if there is space between a wall and a kitchen cabinet, that would be a perfect spot to keep it in. This way, the red pouch will not become an eye sore, simply make sure that the black Nylon straps are easily accessible. Instructions on the pouch are clear enough, just do not panic and avoid pouring water onto the flaming grease if this ever happens to you.The blanket is made of fiberglass textile, the most fireproof fabric of all. It is 40" x 40" (1 m by 1 m) size, which will almost cover the entire stove, and is tightly packed into a red pouch with a grommet for hanging it on a wall. If needs be, lay it carefully over a flaming pot to deprive the fire of oxygen, and you are done. It is advised sometimes to use a kitchen towel to put out grease fire, which is definitely not ideal. But if a kitchen towel could be used to put out grease fire, this blanket will surely do the job. According to regulations, once used, this fire blanket cannot be reused. Having two of those is surely better than one.

I’ve ordered a few of these fire emergency blankets from various brands/sellers, now, and I’ve found that they’re all basically the same product (or they seem to be), except with some slight variations in the red pouch packaging.Some arrive a little dirtier looking than others. Some arrive with writing on both the front and the back…while others (like these ones) have print only on one side. Some have instructions and warnings that are written in better English than others. All of them have been priced at around the same price point. All of the ones I’ve ordered seem to caution that they are not suitable for adult clothing fires. I’m not sure why, though. Why wouldn’t they have just made them in a size that’s suitable for that?This two-pack is on the higher-end in terms of how clean they look, how neatly packed they look, and the degree of proper English grammar that is used.I like that the pouches that these emergency blankets come in have a metal grommet that you can use to hang the pouch from. It’s a good idea to store them in places that will be easily accessible in case of an emergency. Even if you don’t want to hang them on a hook, these are small enough and flat enough that you can store them pretty much anywhere.These one-time use fiberglass blankets are good to keep in case of an emergency. I’ve never had to actually use one and hope I never have to use one, but it’s always a good idea to be prepared.It’s not a bad thing to give away to your loved ones, as well, since these aren’t something that everyone thinks about getting for themselves…
