Incredible headset
Some people have issues with this headset, but I don’t have these experiences. Great audio, fantastic 3-D sound, really comfortable , great battery life, and even though some reviews say the mic quality isn’t good. The feedback I have from my friends is that they hear me crystal clear so no issues with the mic either. I was having random disconnect issues from time to time, but that’s because specifically on the PS5 slim the only USB connections for the dongle are in the rear right in front of the fan so it gets really hot. A simple fix is just to buy an adapter so that you can plug it into the USBC connections in the front of the PS5 slim. Great product for the money.

Perfect General Purpose Headphones - PC usage
I bought these for PC gaming after learning these contain planar magnetic drivers for under $200. I have been very impressed. After a month of ownership, these have become my go-to wireless headphones, in addition to being a PC headset. Pros: Lightweight and comfortable. These weigh less than the wired headphones I replaced (Logitech ProX). The headband and cups are unusual, but they give a great fit without needing adjustment. I can easily wear them for hours. Connectivity. These headphones have so many options to connect, wireless and wired! The USB dongle allows lossless wireless audio; it should be your primary connection. The USB dongle itself has great compatibility; it has been plug and play without issue on every device I tested it with. With a USB A to C adapter, I can even use the USB dongle to get wireless lossless audio from my iPhone 15! If your device doesn’t have a USB port, you can connect with bluetooth. Bluetooth will be lower quality than the proprietary lossless wireless used with the USB dongle. A unique feature is to have both connections running simultaneously. I personally have not found this useful, but I can see the use case for console gaming where you want phone audio by bluetooth for music or videos while also receiving game audio from the console over USB. The last option is a wired connection by 3.5 mm audio (aux cord). I love this option for compatibility with in-flight entertainment on airplanes, and a few old devices that don’t support bluetooth audio. This is not a passive wired connection, you will need battery power to listen to wired inputs, and adjust the volume on the headset itself. You cannot utilize any other connection simultaneously with the wired connection. If you use a 4 pole 3.5mm cord, you will utilize the microphone in wired connections too. 3.5mm cord (aux cord) is not included. Audio. Audio is crisp and snappy. You hear everything. No really! Everything! Planar magnetic drivers have a faster response than traditional dynamic drivers; giving more distinct sounds. Lossless wireless audio is a big deal. I love listening to music with these just as much as playing games. Battery life. Not an issue. They claim 30 hours. I never had these die on me, but I am pretty good about charging items not in use. Cons: Microphone. The microphone is acceptable, not good. It does have always-running (software) noise filter; In my opinion this does assist with clarity. People will understand what you are saying; you just don’t sound good while being clearly heard. This is the sacrifice for high quality wireless audio, the bandwidth for the mic. For games it is fine, but I wouldn’t use this headset for conferences. Build. The design is actually quite functional, and style is subjective. I am happy with what was delivered, but there are alot of soft touch plastics in this headset. We shall see how long it lasts. I can see it scratching easily over time. Audio. Audio is shallow. I really like how these sound. You hear everything. These do not sound booming or deep. You will hear the base, it wont sound bad or tinny, but it wont boom. You may be disappointed if you expect deep and booming sound. Mixer and equalizer. Without a PS5, you have no control over the mixer/equalizer. Out of the box these are balanced flat. If you want to adjust your sound profile, you need to do so on a PS5. Once adjusted, the sound profile is stored on the headset. If fine tuning your sound profile matters to you, you need a PS5 or a friend with a PS5 to tune your headset. Documentation. The manuals included in the box are limited. There are plenty of features just not listed in the manuals. It doesn’t even tell you how to turn off the headset! You need to check Sony’s FAQ for this headset online to learn all of its features. System behavior. Two aspects of system behavior annoy me. First, the blue LED that indicates the headset is powered on, is too bright for its prominent placement in front. Second, this headset automatically powers off after a period of no audio input. This period is a little short for me, but the worse aspect is that it does not play a tone when automatically powering off. It can be annoying when you hit play on your music, only to realize the headset is off and needs to be powered on. Please add a tone on automatic power off. Conclusion: This is the best all around headset to buy, even if you use PC and not PS5. You get lightweight, comfortable, great sounding, and wireless headset with tons of features and the unique sound from planar magnetic drivers, for under $200. The mic, while not good, is clear/comprehensible. No software controls for PC may be a deal breaker for some people.

Disappointing dongle connection
Update: After 3 months, you can see that the inner headband has begun peeling, really disappointing build quality Negative: My main use case for these headphones is what work worst. I'll often hear scratchy noises when using them with the included 2.4GHz dongle, despite being right next to the computer the headphones fails to establish a good connection to them, it seems, as getting farther away from the computer makes this issue more and more apparent. Bluetooth mode works more reliably, but they also have higher latency, which negates the point of using them for gaming. Also be aware that you NEED a PS5 to update the firmware of the dongle and the headphones. They are PlayStation branded so it's not odd that you can update them that way, but when you advertise PC support, and when you've had an android app capable of updating your other headphones, for years, I see no justification for not having other ways to update them. While I wasn't bothered by the default led color that shows perpetually when the headphones are being used, one of the updates changed its color to something most people find less distracting. Positive: I find the headphone generally sound good on Bluetooth mode, so they'd be great if 2.4GHz performed better. Unlike other reviewers, I haven't had the headphones outright disconnect. I wear glasses every waking moment and have no issues with these headphones, they don't put significant pressure on them so they are comfortable to wear.

Worst Sony Branded PS5 Headset.DON'T BUY !!
BUYERS BEWARE !!! I have purchased these wireless Sony branded headset brand new as a upgrade to the Pulse 3D wireless Headset and it was the worst mistake I made.Dont waste your money on these.why you might ask ? 2 BIG reasons.they have a tendency to randomly disconnect itself and secondly, the outer band will start to bend and eventually break in half.its serious design flaw by sony. And they never bothered to address these issues.but dont take my word for it.just go on ebay and you will see hundreds of pulse elite headsets with broken bands.so if your a serious gamer like me and want something thats durable ,high quality and will last,I highly recommend the Sony Inzone H9 wireless headset,it has noise-canceling and spatial 3D sound natively built in.

The Definitive Headset for PS5
I’ve owned the Pulse Elite headset for over two years now, and I can confidently say it remains the definitive headset for the PlayStation 5 in 2025. The sound quality, comfort, and build are top-tier — truly designed with PlayStation gamers in mind. I also use it regularly on my PC, and it works flawlessly there too. The cross-platform compatibility makes it an even better value, letting me switch between my PS5 and PC without missing a beat. Yes, there were some connectivity hiccups at launch, but Sony has long since resolved those through firmware updates. Ever since, the experience has been rock solid. Don’t let the early negative reviews sway you — this headset has aged beautifully. If you want premium performance and reliability, buy this headset. You won’t regret it!

Comfortable with good sound
So far I have only used these for games on PS5 playing late night so as not to disturb the family. I should be able to give a fuller review once I have been able to use them for music around the house connected to my phone. They do look a little funky and I don't plan on wearing them outside the house, but that is forgivable since they connected quickly and easily to the PS5 with the USB dongle supplied. As a glasses wearer, the light on the right side is noticable at first but you soon learn to ignore it (mostly). It is far from a make or break moment when using these headphones. On the topic of glasses, these phones sit over the ears but are not awkward for me as far as my glasses are concerned since there is very little sideways pressure. Most of the weight is taken by the headband which makes for long term comfort. The overear design and squishy cups offer a little noise attenuation, especially in the higher frequencies, but these are far from noise canceling, but again, not a deal breaker. Another reviewer mention the packaging which is good, except for the one piece needed to attach the charging hook. Don't throw anything away until you locate that one piece which screws to the surface to mount the hook onto. No comments in the retractable microphone yet since I have not used it. I have limited experience with gaming headsets, but I have used some nice headphones in my years. These are never going to replace my Sony VR6 studio monitor phones but neither were they were made to. They are not as flat as the VR6 since they have a little sizzle at the top end, and the bottom end falls off sooner, but they are pretty even across the mids and super clear thanks to the planar mag drivers. At the current price you may not want to run out right now and buy these, but put them in a wish list for next time you are shopping for gaming headphones

Great Headset
Despite all the reviews about disconnects, I didn’t experience that in the hour or two I messed around with them. I had one audio stutter but updated the firmware and haven’t run into that again. Audio is MUCH better when connected to the USB dongle directly to the PS5 and gives control over 3D audio and an equalizer. Levels are much lower when connected with the Portal and I had to crank the volume from the default to get it on the same level as what it sounded like at 50% on the PS5. Really wish there was a way to have the equalizer controls on the Portal. The ability to sync up to my phone over Bluetooth simultaneously is really neat but will go largely unused by me. I didn’t test the mic because I don’t do online gaming, but I REALLY appreciate that it tucks out of the way when not in use. Online review videos show it having some pretty stellar ambient sound cancellation, so you don’t have to worry about crunching snacks in your ears during party play. Setup was mildly convoluted but works seamlessly once setup. Apparently, you can link one headset up to a max of 8 USB Link Adapters and toggle between them so I might look into getting one for my PC. Switching between PS5 and the Portal connection was relatively painless. Very comfortable and lightweight. Fits great on my big noggin. Great noise cancellation from the outside world. However, that also causes me to notice a weird, amplified noise from the strap auto adjusting and rubbing against the frame if I move around while pressed against a pillow or recliner. My favorite feature? Absolutely has to be the charger. The hanger doubling as the charger is pure convenient genius design. Mounts on the wall with one screw (not included).

Connection issue after minimal use — disappointing
I purchased these headphones about 5 months ago, mainly to complete my setup for the PS5. During that time, I’ve only used them around 5 times, so they are barely used. Unfortunately, I recently discovered a serious issue. When I put the headset on, the connection to the PS5 drops. As soon as I take them off, the connection comes back. This makes them essentially unusable. I reached out to the seller for help, but the response was not helpful. I received generic replies stating that the return period had expired, without any real attempt to address the issue or offer a solution. I also tried other support options, but was unable to get the headphones repaired or replaced. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I do like the design and how they look. However, for a product in the ~$200 range, I expect much better reliability. A device like this should last far longer than just a few uses. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this product.

Great headset, get it on discount
One of the best gaming headsets you can buy. It sounds more balanced and natural than a lot of gaming headsets, and it comes with a lot of features. The audio sounds great, the bass is good (which surprised me). These have a "planar magnetic" driver instead of dynamic, which is very rare to see in headsets. They have the advantage of more accurate audio representation, but lack a little bass. It's mostly marketing nonsense but it actually sounds good. The features you get compared to other gaming headsets is wild. You get a free "PS Link" wireless USB adapter, and it works on both PC and PS5 (as I tested). You also get Bluetooth connectivity to, for example, your phone. You shouldn't use Bluetooth for competitive gaming as it has high latency. And lastly, you get a 3.5mm audio/headphone jack for wired connection (sadly, you can't use it without turning on the headset, unlike other Sony headsets). You can use both PS Link and Bluetooth at the same time automatically. The microphone also works on both connections at the same time, and it has a hardware mute button (but works as software mute button on PS5. Only PS5 can unmute the microphone.) I have had difficulty connecting the headset to the PS Link sometimes, but no problems using Bluetooth on mobile devices. Otherwise, it normally connects instantly to PS Link, and a typical Bluetooth delay to connect to your phone too. There are physical volume buttons and a USB-C charging port (also used for firmware updates). No touch-capacitive buttons like other Sony headsets. I connect it to the front port of my PS5, and only had it recently disconnect on me ONCE while gaming, and I've used it for a while. It also makes static noises occasionally when there is no audio, but playing any sound sometimes fixes the problem instantly. The microphone sounds good for a wireless headset but you need it super close to your mouth for others to understand what you say. It is worse than using a dedicated microphone (maybe even worse than the Dualsense controller mic), BUT it blocks noises which is better than the controller mic. Overall, these issues make this headset not worth getting at 699 SR. In fact, you should get it under 600 SR if you can. Other gaming headsets in that price range are often not as good than this one.. Sure, this headset has a 30hr battery life while others get more, but this headset comes with a wall-mountable charging stand free in the box. It's an insanely good value, and I believe it's worth the trouble. *I do not have experience with the build quality, but it sure feels like this is a fragile headset. It's made out of plastic and it's comfortable, however, the ear pads—while premium—feel like they could come off easily or tear, which definitely makes you worried about them all the time.

Llevo tres días usándolos y no he tenido problemas de conectividad (¡ánimas! 🤞🏼). ¡Saludos! 🖖🏼
