Eh, depends on use
I guess it would the the use of these coasters, would justify the rating. I wanted to laser engraver on them, the different colors of the wood made some of the engraving dark and some very light. Out of a 16 pack I was and to engrave 5 coasters with decent results. If you want these for plain coasters , perfect 5 star item
