Best option to a mounting a Micro Red Dot.
I have a new Buck Mark. I wanted to mount a Micro Red Dot on it designed for a Pistol. There are many. I choose the New UTG due to low cost and wanted to learn to use it before taking a $300 plus plunge. There are two ways to mount a Red Dot on this pistol. Picatinny or Outerimpact. I choose both. First the Picatinny. Inexpensive, easy to mount, easy to remove and can put the device in multiple locations depending upon where you want it. And one brand even has a adjustable rear sight. Works great. Secure and will allow you to mount the Red Dot using the Picatinny mount or base that comes with it. Zeroed the Red Dot and put 500 rounds through it with no problem. BUT, it is not optimal. The best solution is to get your Red Dot on the same plane as the barrel as close as you can rather than well above it. This is why machinist cut the slides to mount the dots on premium installations. They are getting the Red Dot down closer to the same plane as the bore. This device does that quite well with no cutting. Just pull the stock top strap and rear sight off the Buck Mark, you mount the Outerimpact mount in its place using the screws provided. Before doing this, mount your Red Dot to the Outerimpact using the screws provided in the kit that comes with it. Locate the holes matching your particular Red Dot. Then secure the Red Dot to the Outerimpact, then secure the assembly to the pistol. Done. Took me twenty minutes. Looks better than a picatinny. Neat clean and perfect fit. Remove two screws and you can lift of the Red Dot to change the battery. Don't get caught up on; " well you loose your rear sight" thing. I have shot Red Dots on my ARs and have not had a failure yet. If you really worry, you can put the stock rear sight back on in less that five minutes. Zero it and put it in your range bag with a driver and bit. This really is a very well designed piece.I wanted to update this review . After a year of shooting and over 5000 plus rounds through my Buckmark some things are very clear. First, the is the best option, I'd say the only real option to mounting a Red Dot on your Buckmark. It absolutely works and is top quality. Many matches have proven that with no failure. Second, use a micro red dot for your gun. The larger red dots are heavier and can cause a malfunction especially with target ammo. High velocity ammo works great. Target ammo is useless on a race gun. It is not about groups, but just hitting the steel plate fast. Target ammo around 1080 FPS will fail. Especially with a the weight of a red dot. Sightmark makes a mini. I choose the UTG and have had no failures. I ordered from Amazon. Fast delivery. Outerimpact list the red dots that fit on their website. Third, the Nikon Spur will not fit this plate. The mounting holes are unique to that particular red dot. If you are considering a red dot for your Buckmark, this is the only real option that truly gives you the lower sight plane and total reliability. Fourth, Use blue Locktite on the mounting screws. They absolutely will shake loose. And when they do the pistol will not feed or eject. The plate must be torqued to 25 inch pounds. The sights to 13 inch pounds. Get a torque driver from Amazon. They really are worth the little money they cost to do it right. Torqued properly, with Locktite and good ammo you are trouble free. Outerimpact's adapter plate is well worth the investment.

Perfect addition for a red dot on a fun 22
Well engineered design, perfect match to top of the 22. Look like it was always designed for the job not a add on. Holison drops right in place given your 22 a much improved sighting ability. Worth the money, you beat!

Perfect fit!
This mount is a perfect fit on Buckmark Camper with a Crimson Trace red dot. So much fun to shoot this accurate 22 with an optic on it! Well made and designed product, I would definitely buy again.

for .22 Buckmark
I had to change my barrel on my Buckmark to longer barrel and the longer barrel did not have the 3 hole so I had to buy this to use the 7.2 inch barrel.

Great mount for Holosun HS507C X2!
Great mounting system! Looks like it could have come originally with this Buckmark Lite URX. In one of the pictures you can see my old mount sitting next to it, and the Holosun pic rail adapter attached isn't needed anymore. Now it's much lower profile and lighter weight. Once you put a red dot on it you probably won't want to take it off, so the original iron sights aren't really all that important to me.

Wish it would not come loose...
Use blue locktite to secure all screws. Comes loose at the end of every shoot. I don't know what the issue is as it locks down tight. Can't recommend.
