Cat person here. Lots of cats over many years with all the toys that implies. I have to say this particular toy has really captured the heart of my big beautiful Maine Coon. He loves this thing and plays with it for hours both inside it's little bag and outside of the bag rolling around the house. I think it actually gets itself out of corners way better than a roomba vacuum cleaner! The charge on it works fine for me. My cat plays with it all day and I charge it overnight and it's ready to go. You should know too that if your cat stops playing with it, it kind of goes to sleep until it is touched or moved in some way. I will tell you not all my cats are as entranced as my big boy but they all find it fascinating and will watch it move about without approaching it for long periods. I liked it so much I have bought one for my neighbor as I know his Siamese will go crazy for it!

Great toy , cats used it and it’s still working. The cover piece has been washed , scratched and attacked by the cats and still standing. The hard toy still works great and I also used alone and just let it lose in the house and the cats love to chase it around.

Great toy, but the Velcro holding it closed tore off. The cats still love to play in it tho!

It can turn itself on and off surprising your cat ! Makes mysterious rumblings before movement to perk cat's curiosity. Can be easily recharged but my cat will even attack it after she tries to "awake" it if it runs out of charge.

Unfortunately, I did not keep this long because my cat cheats. Opal, who is my calico would sit in the middle of this thing and wait for the ball to come to her! This is a great design, but it's not real quiet if it runs into something, such as too close to a wall. Now some balls don't come with a string-like cord (simulates a rodent tail) and a bumper guard, making them louder and driving fur baby parents up the wall. This one does has a bumper which explains why it's quieter than some of the other balls out there. The ball has a USB-C input, but I don't remember if it comes with a charging cord. I do know it did not come with the AC Adapter. It's not super thick it's more like a thin sheet of plastic, like a disposable party table cloth, but it's durable enough to resist claw holes- at least it was with Opal. My other two cats just watched it- I don't know if they didn't like the idea that it ran on its own inside the plastic. My only thing about this toy and it's kind of minor which is why I didn't dock it a star, is sometimes it's hard to find the velcro opening to pull the ball out of the sheet (for lack of a better word.) The outer sheet is designed to mimic a rodent underneath a bed sheet or a piece of plastic, so it is not designed to hold air or water.

My cats went absolutely nuts for this toy at first—it definitely grabbed their attention right away and kept them entertained. The motion activation and chirping sounds make it really engaging, and the rolling ball inside the pouch adds that “prey” feeling cats love. The concept and appearance are great, and it’s a fun way to keep cats active without constant interaction. Unfortunately, over time the battery performance really went downhill. Even after charging it overnight, the ball doesn’t run for very long anymore, which makes it a lot less useful. It started strong, but didn’t hold up in the long run. In terms of durability, the outer pouch held up fine, but the internal motor/battery seems to be the weak point. So many wins for this fun toy. The ball doesn’t get lost. The cats can’t get enough of play. Three ball settings. Our favorite is purple. Staying power for each charge. Every night the ball goes on the charger. Then lasts all day. The only issue, a cat will sit or lay on the case. Hogging it from everyone else. But it’s so cute. Everyone wants to monopolize use. The funniest two things, for me, when someone runs and slip and slides the cover to get the ball. Zoom across the floor. And, when they’re worn out from play, sleep on the case while the ball periodically lights up or wants to move. It’s like to say, I’ve captured you and you will not be released until I say you can. The video included shows capture and napping between okay sessions. A laser pointer and feather pole require my effort and is not available all day long. Every other toy has had its ball removed. This crew has mad skills and can dismantle toys, at will. Though the kitten got a hold of the ball that escaped through the hatch when the Velcro disconnected. And the soft yellow scrunchy was captured and hidden. Until the kitten retrieved it a day later for play and I captured it to return to the ball. This toy is perfect, for us. The squeak, value, and quality are perfect, for our needs.

All these toys are highly subjective. If your cat adores them , then they get a 5. My barometer is if they will go back and play with them. This one is pretty good. One cat will seek it out and play for a bit and then become bored. The other one just looks at it. I like the fact that you can see the ball in the pouch, that it starts and stops unexpectedly and the pouch itself is a responsive material. Once the ball found the opening and escaped the pouch. Cat thought that was interesting a went after it as it made its way round the floor. I think the toy is good value for the money.

The battery in the ‘ball’ doesn't charge after 3 times. Its a great idea. My cats enjoyed playing with it while it worked.

Ma chatte de 6 ans et ma chatte de 8 ans adorent ce jeu. Il reste tranquille de longue période et se remet en marche comme ça. Ceci intrigue mes chattes qui tentent de l'attraper. Super jeu, surtout qu'on ne le perd pas sous les meubles lol

My kitten genuinely likes it, and he is a very smart picky cat (Arabian Mau, so needs a lot of mental stimulation). He plays a lot with this toy

The Play mat is a great invention with rotating ball is great and jumpy .. The plastic cover is not … For multiple cats jumping on it with there claws will make holes .. Should have been in a smooth light velvet cloth ..also if Its flat the ball unit cannot move around . Have to shake it Up ,, so money wise a lot ,, for a plastic cover That wont last …
