Gets the job done!
After about a little over a month of owning this little 1TB SSD, it is fantastic just for my needs. As a college student, and owning a gaming laptop with about 500GB, I needed an external storage device for my games, I like to play games from time to time especially games that have a lot of storage, Elden Ring + SOTE, Lies of P, High on Life, DBD, R6S, etc. Luckily, I have a USB-C Gen3.2 to fully utilize the 2000 MB/s Read/Write, and least to say it does not disappoint, if I need to transfer a file it is lighting fast, and the games load up at a relatively fast speed. While it may not be at speed of the NVME pre-installed in my laptop at around 6000MB/s read 4000MB/s write, I still would say that I noticed negligible load up times as when I did transfer my games the first time they would still load up extremely fast. One thing to note is that if you are downloading/transferring huge files it will heat up, and sometimes just using it too, but I did not experience any throttling, or lower performance, just a quick little note.

A Pleasant Suprise
I needed to back up my computer before a reformat and needed a 4tb external SSD. I'd been watching Samsung, and SanDisk for a sale, but ran out of time. This came up in my search and I'd used SSK products before to take extra M.2 Drives and turn them into external SSD's.What sealed the deal was it already had reviews and the price point was much less than the competition. I couldn't justify getting the more expensive options. So I pulled the trigger. It was smaller than I was expecting and a pleasant surprise. I can't speak for the speed. For that you have to plug it into the right USB port I doubt the one I was using was the full 3.2 Gen 2x2. But it was fast enough.People complain about heat. Yes it does heat up. That didn't slow mine down but I wasn't plugged into the faster USB ports that might cause thermal throttling to kick in. I was much faster than the HDD it replaced.

I lost Data TWICE!
I got this when it was on sale, and it was too good to pass up -- what a posted speed! Having said that, you will read the fine print that says it's got to have the right cable and the right laptop, etc. I'm posting my actual reading here. It's about half the speed, but it's still quite fast and I was satisfied. However, about a month in, the SSD started to drop connection when attached to my Macbook. A few days later, it wouldn't connect at all. I should have backed up my work, but I didn't. I tried everything -- contacted the customer service who wouldn't help me recover my data (we exchanged a handful of "try this" "try that" - things I had already tried already -- I lost data one time using Sandisk SSD and they paid for a program to recover my files -- these guys wouldn't). Rather, they sent me a new SSD.And so I used that one...until today when this one began to fail as well...SIGH. This time, I was backing up my files and so I am not as upset. Fool me once...right?Anyway, my recommendation, on using this product twice now, is to bypass this one -- two SSD, two failed SSD. Really?

Works well, gets hot
I used the USB-C to USB-C cable so data transfer was very quick. I was transferring around half a terabyte of data and noticed the drive got very hot. It would be nice if they included a small bag to carry the drive and cable in. All of the other drives like this that I own came with a bag.

Blazing Fast! Smaller than expected! I love this drive
The media could not be loaded. This drive is small and fast! The downside of being so small, is it could be easily lost. The upside is that you can take it anywhere, and you could store bunch of these in the same space as a traditional spinning disk hard drive. But the speed blew me away. I transferred 245 GB from my action cam (DJI Osmo Action 4) to my laptop (MacBook Pro M3 Pro), assuming it would go faster to do that before sending it to the drive. That took 1 hour and 50 minutes. Then I transferred those exact same files from the computer to the disk and it took 11 minutes! Next time I'll try to go from the camera to the SSD. I have a feeling the camera will be the bottleneck either way. But as far as the drive goes, I'm extremely impressed with the speed of transfer. Eventually, I plan to do some 4K editing with it, but that will have to wait until after my next trip.

So far so good
These are nice and compact. The speed is good, though a bit slower than expected. Overall, a good value and working well.
