I agree that this is not the best and it’s not like the OEM. However, it does work. It was easy to install in my 2021 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I replaced a 7 inch unit not the 8.4 inch unit which is what I wanted to put in. However, I wasn’t willing to pay $1200 to get something that is mediocre to begin with. So I elected to spend $115 on this unit and it worked just fine for the applications for CarPlay and will even do other things I didn’t expect it to do , however if you don’t hook it up right it won’t work use common sense and it will work perfectly fine other than the main wiring harness. There is only five other wires that needed to be connected. The rest are just sitting there useless. Just because they’re there doesn’t mean they have to be hooked up , good luck .

First off, there is no wrong way to hook this up. It plugs into the factory plug. It instantly comes on even without the key in the car. Really wanted to like it but even manually powering off the unit every time I park, it still kills your battery. Second off, everything on the unit that requires wifi is completely useless. Even connected to my tb home wifi it takes 5 minutes to even load a web page. Downloading anything on it is impossible. The wifi speeds were around 500 bytes/ second. Not kilobytes/second, not megabytes/second. Dial up internet was faster. Not even enough to sign into the play store. I thought I could get around this by downloading the apps on my computer and then installing them but the device can't even connect to Bluetooth controllers. So literally everything was useless. Car play doesn't work have the time either. Had no choice but to send it back. Complete utter junk.

Easy to install. Mostly plug and play. My jeep has a factory reverse camera so the only thing I can complain about is that it didn’t come with a harness to connect the OEM back up camera conector to the head unit

This is a great value way to upgrade the stereo on the Wrangler: works best if you have a factory amp or if you install an aftermarket one: performance is good ,but definitely is much stronger with amp. Great deal

While it offers a range of appealing features and the potential for a significant upgrade over the old factory systems, the issues with WiFi connectivity and power management are too prominent to ignore. The backup camera, however, is well executed and provides a clear picture. Overall, It’s a decent choice for those looking to enhance their in-car multimedia experience, provided you can live with its quirks.
