Meh - nothing great or terrible
I’ve had the opportunity to test out several drones of this type - sub 250g WiFi based FPV drones that are fun in the open with little to no wind, and can be used indoors in a large enough space, like a school gym, but are otherwise very limited in what they can do.Some of them have coreless motors, some even have brushless, and they all have cameras of varying quality Pretty sure this one is just brushed motors. The problem is that they are advertised as highly functional and great for photography, but in reality they are toys for teens or adults new to drones that just want to play around and are willing to drop $50-$100 for that experience. But like the other ones I’ve seen I think the advertising is somewhat deceptive and the experience sub par.For example, and this may be a mistake on their part, but in the description it talks about “smooth 5ghz transmission” but there is no 5ghz transmission. At least not through your phone. On a high end drone with satellite and GPS there may be 5ghz transmission, but most of these low end RCs use 2.4ghz that have a limited transmission range of several hundred feet at best, and if you actually want to navigate using your phone as displayed in the details, you will be connecting through wifi only. That means your fpv view starts to break up about 20-30 ft from your phone. Your phone doesn’t plug into the remote. It just connects through your phones WiFi and has very limited range.Furthermore to even have the experience of using your phone to fly and take pictures you have to download one of a number of sketchy (from my perspective at least) apps that need permissions for your photos and may or may not ask permission for additional access to your phone, and the apps rarely work well. If you click on the privacy link in the App Store the page it takes you to is all in Chinese and there is no way to get additional information. So I’ve digressed bit from reviewing this drone in particular, but the bottom line is that if you want something to play around with in an open area with limited wind then this is a great drone and its fairly easy to fly and has multiple speeds and a few tricks. If you’re looking for a drone that has features like return to home (that actually work) and are hoping to use it for shooting pics or movies then you’re going to be disappointed. For photography of any useful nature you need at least a two axis gimble and image stabilization, a decent lens and a reliable drone that will stay still when needed. As far as this type of drone goes, for the price, id say it’s about on par with many others in the same range. As a toy its great, but know that its a toy that will likely break sooner or later, can’t be flown outdoors in much wind and should never be flown out of sight or over roofs, because you may never see it again. If you want something better then save up for a gps drone - the prices are coming down all the time.If youre looking for a toy then I’m not sure why you’d go and get a ‘camera drone’ when it’s just more complicated and more to break with very little added functionality.I gave it four stars because it’s not bad and it’s a reasonable price. It’s just not good and the claims are wildly exaggerated.

I recieved an OBVIOUS returned item! Really???
What a great Christmas present for grandson! The box was already torn and crunched on one corner. One end was left opened and I had to repair the box before it could be wrapped. Too late to try to get a replacement before the holiday. Most likely will be returned afterwards. Very disappointed with NOT getting a new item that we paid for. Got someone else's garbage instead. At this point I just hope it works.

Fun for 12 minutes at a time
This is a fun drone to play with but it has limited time for each use. While I am loving it, it will only operate for approx 12 minutes per charge. It then takes 2 hours to recharge. I have requested information on purchasing additional batteries but have yet to receive a response of any kind. Looking through the net for the battery by number drew nothing. That aside, this thing is easy to operate. Just insert the battery, open the props, turn on the controller and drone and then move two levers and calibrate. It then will stay exactly where you want it to when it rises off of the ground. (Many drones have issues with this stability but not this one.) The instructions on calibrating say one procedure and the photo shows another. I used the written procedure. It flies well and has 3 speeds. It can perform flip trips all by itself when commanded to do so. Also, it has an auto return that kicks in when the battery is getting low, so you won't lose it. You can also command it to return and it will. Flight controls are simple but can be confusing until you become more aware of their positions. Its general response to commands is fairly quick.Comes in a nice labeled box. Inside is a case that holds the flier and all of its support items. There is the controller, spare blades, blade protectors, drone battery and charging cable. No charger is included but it is a USB type so we all have loads of those kicking around the house. Also, the controller uses 3 batteries that are NOT included. An instruction sheet is also included. This item uses an app to use your phone as a screen as well as a controller if you want. The app works well and it is nice seeing a live picture as it flies using the onboard camera. The drone does not have any means to insert a memory card, so any videos or snapshots must be stored on your phone.Bottom line is that it is fun and works well, there is just 12 minutes of fun at a time though with a 2 hour wait between. Unfortunately, this has lived most of its life in its case because after the 2 hour recharge time, I have moved on to other things to be doing. If more batteries were included with the option to purchase more, this could be something that I would use more often. Can you imagine a 14 year old, which is the young end of its target audience, finding that it only operates for 12 minutes at a time? I certainly can't see them getting any enjoyment with that limit. Too bad too, because this could be a real winner. Hence, my 3 stars instead of the 5 stars it could easily be.

Really fast at highest speed setting, and very maneuverable when calibrated correctly
The media could not be loaded. The first thing I want to mention is the calibration because the process is different than every other drone I've flown; you pull both joysticks down to the right and then down to the left, making the directional change when you hear the single solid beep. This drone really can move pretty darn fast directionally when on full speed, but when on lower speeds it always seems to want to drift backward regardless of wind. The carrying case is pretty nice and provides good protection, but it isn't super sturdy so you should definitely still be cognizant of what you put on top of it because I would imagine heavy items could/would damage it even when in the case. All in all this is a great drone for pilots with at least some experience under their belt, but not much experience needed because of the speed adjustment settings as well as the durability (see my video where I've run it straight into the wall without issue lol). The battery life is great and I love the fact that it uses a regular USB-C cord to charge, but it definitely would have been nice if they included at least one spare battery like most other drone products in this price range.
