Very sturdy. Easy assembly.

Good solid feel when you step on them, nice finish good buy.

Very high quality for a self-assemble piece, so absolutely five stars there. Assembly was also easy and fun - they even include glue for the wood dowel holes and an extra wood panel just in case. The hidden drawer in the top step is very useful for reading glasses, earphones, chapstick, whatever little items you keep handy at bedside. Love that. But for me, as it turns out - my bed isn't quite high enough to make these proportions useful. It's almost as if I need just the first step and the second gets in the way. It would be great if Powell offered perhaps different sizes so buyers could purchase the most ergonomically-correct choice. The only other suggestion I'd make is that this is a high-gloss stain, which is beautiful but you may need to add non-skid treads for safety.

I like my new steps! PROS: * Putting these steps together was easy and I did it by myself (60 years old, female). The instructions were straight forward with only pictures. * The screw holes all lined up perfectly. * The steps are sturdy and do not wobble or shake at all. * This looks and feels like a good piece of furniture at a fraction of the price of others this style. * I like climbing into my raised bed. * I would recommend these steps. CONS: * The manufactured scratches on the steps that are made so the wood looks natural, have the opposite effect. It doesn't bother me enough to remove a star. SUGGESTIONS * Follow the instructions carefully. * Use the enclosed wood glue liberally on All dowels and wipe away any excess with a damp paper towel. Where possible, I put the glue in the hole before the dowel. * Look at the "toggle screws" and understand how they work. The arrow goes up and it should easily turn only 1/4 of a rotation. Do not force it. The reviews that commented that these broke easily, lead me to believe that they definitely did something wrong. For reference, I was not familiar with these and this was the first time I've used them. * Insert all screws in each section together then and tighten. This is my honest, unsolicited opinion. If anything changes, I will update this review.

I use this to get into bed. It is sturdy enough for my weight. It has a neat drawer for storage. And it is very fashionable. It is relatively easy to put together. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it took almost 3 weeks to be delivered

Very high quality, beautiful piece of furniture. I was pleased that it matches my décor, and is large enough that I have steady footing going up and down. Our bed already had a deep mattress, and we recently added 5" bed-risers to the feet so we can store off-season clothes under the bed. The step stool I was using was not high enough, so I ordered this item. The little drawer is small and honestly don't use it, maybe for the tv remote... I have a wooden floor and this was sliding around so I bought a small accent rug with rubber at the bottom and centered the bed steps on it, now my footing is secure and there is no more sliding. I love it and wish I had gotten it sooner. Highly recommend.

We couldn't accept it as arrived; damaged packaging and damaged corner of the top step. That damage revealed compressed cardboard, not MDF. Google MDF adn it's basically wood particles dried and pressed together under high pressure. This is more like layers of cardboard pressed together, but not too well. I had experience with this once in a rented home. The kitchen cabinets were made of this stuff and the higher humidity caused it all to come apart over time. Had this not arrived damaged, though, I may never have known the difference, though I suspect over time--much longer than the mere 30 days Amazon gives you--it would have begun coming apart. Also, as others have said, the color is an orange-brown, not dark at all and certainly not cherry finish. It does look good, just not the color they pictured or advertised.

I had mixed concerns of her, ordering this product with the reviews that were on Amazon, but I took a chance and ordered it anyways, and glad that I did when it came in my niece put it together with no trouble at all. The step almost mattress my antique bed perfectly and it’s very sturdy. They would have on it a couple of flaws, but you have to look closely to see them so to me this is not a concern. Let’s be honest. It’s a step to get in and out of bed. I’m more concerned of the starting of the steps, how they look as long as they match my antique bed that my concern I would definitely order This again

Like the colour of wood, easy to assemble. Not only a very good foot stool to get up to the higher places But also a very nice furniture piece.

A crucial part was missing. The finish leaves much to be desired. But it will get the job done of assisting me to get into bed. The person I dealt with in customer service made it easy on me and and alleviated my worries, as well as handling the problem swiftly and efficiently. I had the replacement the very next day. Thanks again!

Bought for my mom. She loves that it's lightweight and easy to move around her room.
