It fits and it works
Very good price. Electrically superior because it breaks both L1 and L2 (instead of just a one-pole break). Almost exact same size as the old contactor ... even the mounting holes line up, so no need to drill new ones. Hard to find any fault with this contactor. Except to say, I can't speak (yet) to the lifespan ... it's been operating for about a month on my A/C unit.

Made my AC work again!
Before replacing anything on your ac outside, turn off your main power and use voltage meter to test a few times before doing this. You are dealing with 220w.I'm writing the review after a few months of testing this. My ac died during peak summer and I couldn't figure out why. I called a few contractors and they wanted to charge $180 per hour or $100 to diagnose the problem. After talking to a few friends they recommended I check the contactor and see if its burnt. Sure enough, when I checked, the contactor was burnt with burnt copper. I ordered this and replaced it and boom!! it worked.Old one died because a bug got in-between the magnet which triggers this on/off from your thermostat. This contactor has a cover around the magnet which protects from all the bugs. This also looks more heavy duty than my previous one.

A Relay is a Relay .. Right
Relay is a good unit, but gave only 4 stars because of misleading advertisement . This will replace a 1 pole relay, but it is 2 switched poles. Not truly a good Idea on a Goodman heat pump. The non switched shunt side needs to be 40 amp and the contact side should be 30 amps.

Not 100% a genuine replacement.
My original contactor has lugs not spades for the line side connection. Had to get a couple of offset Tongue Terminals to adapt it to my equipment. Good side, the contactor points are enclosed. Best to keep bugs from building a home on/in them when the AC is off for the winter.

Right on
Works great and good buy.

This is not a single pole contactor.
For those Do It Yourselfers ..... Always, always, always, replace like for like. This item is a 2 pole contactor. Will it work? Will the system run? Sure. But what they are not telling you is that if you replace your single pole contactor with this double pole contactor, you will stop your compressor from heating when it needs to be. You could still use this in place of a single pole contactor, but you will need to shunt one side so there is always current going to the compressor system to heat the compressor when needed. Many brands power the crankcase, (the compressor motor), heater constantly and shut it on and off with a thermostat, often mounted on the discharge line. Heating of the compressor, which is automatic when needed, is necessary when its cold outside to keep the oil and gas from pooling inside of the compressor motor when the system is off. This means if you replace a single pole contactor, wire for wire with a two-pole contactor, the crankcase heater will never work. Pooling can cause early compressor failure and does cause unnecessary strain to the compressor motor which will lead to compressor motor failure. $$$$$Though I ordered this, and thinking it was single pole, I am not using it. And I'm not returning it. Cheap enough. I found my problem was caused by a wire shorting inside the compressor unit. A wire was resting against a vibrating coil when the system was running which eventually rubbed the away the wire's coating and made to the copper conductor shorting out the system and popping the 5 amp low voltage wire fuse in the air handler. And yes. Professional HVAC technicians will use, and always carry, 2 pole contactors. However, if they are replacing a single pole contractor, they will always shunt the compressor side to maintain power for the compressor heating system.Do It Yourselfers .... beware.

Replaced the original perfectly
I was a bit worried as this was replacing a single pole contactor in my three year old goodmans but it fitted perfectly just follow the wiring on the original. Fitted it in, replaced the breaker and it powered up as soon as I activated the a/c controls, no problem. The reason I did this is that the contactor gets a bit burnt and pitted on the main contacts especially in the hotter states so i usually just clean them up but as this was such a reasonable price it was easier, less hassle just to swap out a new one, keep the old as a back up just in case.
