Buy this!
I bought this to use on my wood lathe, and it's perfect. The integral shank saves space, smart design, and the MT2 taper is very accurate. The chuck holds tightly without using the supplied wrench, but is a good addition if extra clamping is needed. Costs more than the other keyless chucks, but worth it. Would buy again, and wish they had one with MT3, I would use it for my metal lathes. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Difficult to lock on bit
They provide a spanner wrench, but still have to give it a couple extra taps to get it tight. However very well made and runs true.

Works for ME!
I checked the run out, and it is within their specified tolerance. I also think the piece looks and feels of the same quality that chucks twice the price have. I am extremely happy with the purchase. I even ordered the same chuck with a taper for my drill press and that too is the same quality.

Quality tool, but....
Had to return it, due to the fact that it did not work (at least fully) on my drill press. I believe this tool is more suited for a lathe or mill. On my drill press, I have no ability to lock the arbor/shaft, which is pretty much required in order to tighten/lock the chuck onto the cutting bit.For a mill or lathe, it looks like a good tool.

Well made chuck, can be difficult to tighten though.
This is a beefy and well machined chuck. The picture above shows the size in comparison to my keyed Nova chuck. I tested this drill chuck in my lathe's headstock and it ran true with no discernible runout. My only complaint is that there's nothing to hold on to while tightening the chuck, so it can be hard to tighten it down without some slippage in the Morse taper. That said, I haven't had any problem with loose bits.

sturdy chuck that is easy to operate
I ordered this keyless drill chuck from CanCNC for drilling on my wood lathe. The MT2 shank fits snugly in the tail stock. The chuck is well made and operates smoothly. The revolving shank appears to be the only way to tighten/loosen the chuck which was new to me. I'm used to the chuck bodies being able to rotate to tighten whether they are keyless or need a key. This is fine for my purposes since the stock spinning in the normal direction will force the chuck in the direction that tightens it. The kit includes a wrench to loosen the chuck. It has been working fine for me so far.

Dead-On Accuracy
Because this is keyless, people complain there is no way to tighten and loosen the bits and even return them. Open the pulley lid and hold the pulley with your left and the chuck with your right; it works perfectly. Extra tight can be achieved using a chuck key in the same slot for removing the chuck. This chuck is suitable for machining with correct bits.

Meets the T.I.R. spec. exactly
Bought another my first keyless chuck 6 months ago, looked for the cheapest 5/8 I could find.Found out it had no T.I.R. spec. Just not happy with the run out. This integrated drill chuck came exactly within the specified spec. of .003". I feel this is a sweet spot for a home drill press. If I needed any better, it would probably be better just buying a mill instead.Overall, happy I got this drill chuck. For the little more I paid to have a better specified T.I.R. makes me satisfied with my purchase.
