gets your streamer down
These Trout poly leaders do a great job at getting your streamers down. On a 6wt floating line I mostly use the 5 and 7 IPS models to get down quick. I usually add a 3mm tippet ring for ease of tippet attachment and fly swapping. One thing to note is the core is only 12lb test. So you can only use 2x tippet or you risk breaking off further up the leader. For this reason I have started to switch over to the heavier steelhead style of polyleader for modern larger streamers due to the heavier core.
