Caldarax Ceiling Pendant Light Fitting, B22 Lamp Holder, 6”(150mm), Black Plastic Light Bulb Holder, Ceiling Rose for Kitchen Island Living Room Bedroom Dinning Room Lightings

This fitting served its purpose well as a replacement in my daughter's bedroom. The installation was straightforward and it fits nicely into the existing rose. It doesn't look flashy, but for the price it's perfectly adequate for a kids' room and I only needed it so i could dangle an LED light/ fan and didn't want it hanging too low, so perfect for the job. The build is basic-plastic material and no extra frills, but that works fine. It holds the light/ fan securely and there's no flickering or issues so far. If it lasts a decent length of time then for what it cost I'd deem it a good buy. If I were to give one minor reservation it's that the plastic finish feels a little lightweight, so it may not be something I'd pick if I were after a premium ceiling light. But for its role in a bedroom it's more than good enough.

+ pleasant aesthetics (smooth surface & matte finish) + simple assembly + 2 sockets & 2 colours to chose from + cord length can be shortened if needed + built-in 8 cord terminal - cheap plastic used for base cover & terminal can break under severe pressure Very nice made fitting which takes no time to install and looks simple but clean & tidy. Rather large, 8-cord terminal will suffice for even more complicated electrical installations. 6A current limit allows the use virtually any light bulb available on the market (as long as it fits the socket type you chose). It will work out in any room except the bathroom (IP rating not high enough). Overall, it's a great value for what it is and the only disadvantage is the plastic used for the base: if treated very roughly, it may crack under pressure. As long as it's handled with minimum care, it will work and look just great. Highly recommended.

The fitting itself is of very good quality and looks well. Has a feature where you can attach the lamp shade too. However the price is extortionate - exactly the same fitting but with bayonet socket goes for about £3.

Very happy with the quality, great price and very easy to install, finished my kitchen revamp of perfectly

A nice sturdy unit. Good wiring. Great.

I purchased this pendant light fitting for my bedroom in October 2025 and it’s still lasting well today. The material feels durable and the installation was genuinely easy thanks to the B22 snap‑on holder, which made the process quick and straightforward. I paired it with a dim light and a black ceiling shade, and the combination completely transformed the room. It works very well as a simple, modern base for a ceiling light. I was initially worried about the high‑gloss finish, but once installed it looked clean, minimal and perfectly matched the style of my bedroom. As a base for a lampshade, the holder blends in and you naturally focus on the ceiling light rather than the fitting itself. If used on its own, it can look a little too simple and may not give the same impression of quality. The cable length is just right and provides a neat, balanced drop. For basic lighting needs or as a base for a decorative lampshade, it performs exactly as expected. It might feel a little pricey if used on its own, but considering the final result in my bedroom, it was absolutely worth it.

Great with a bit of mayo.

A standard ceiling rose and flex holder but in black fairly decent quality for the price and easy to fit

Very poor quality. The wire plastic casing is crumbling and one of the wires is snapped.
