The only thing that kills bindweed
Here in Montana, we have a bindweed problem. Field bindweed is an introduced invasive. like Kudzu, that strangles everything in its path. With a root system that goes as deep as 25 feet (you read right), pulling only encourages more bindweed. Once bindweed gets into agricultural fields, it can reduce yield by 50% and takes approximately 5 years to fully eradicate before the field can be productive again. After experimenting with other homegrown remedies (vinegar, bleach, etc.), we'd had enough. Although we were loathe to use this toxic chemical glyphosate, we use it only on the bindweed and, eureka, it kills it dead roots and all. We don't spray everything in sight, we only spot spray the bindweed and now have verified bindweed management success with this product.Because this granular formula contains the highest percentage of glyphosate along with surfactants that keep the herbicide on the bindweed leaves even during rain, it's effectiveness is certain. All in all, we're so happy to be able to say good-bye to bindweed once and for all.

Quick kill for weeds and other plants.
Quickly kills unwanted plants including poison ivy and poison sumak. Stronger concentration can be used to kill cut down trees that come back from roots by coating the inner bark. It is non selective and kills about everything but mosses. Drift from wind can kill plants that you want so be careful. It's expensive per application and for the larger container but much cheaper per application. It's dry granules have lasted years for me.

Huge Money Saver!!!
Last Spring I moved into an Ohio home with about 2,000 sq. ft. of badly neglected flower beds. When I say bad I mean really bad. They were overgrown with well established thistle, dandelion, poison ivy, and various other weeds of which I do not know the names. I knew before I mulched I would have to do some serious weed management. I went out and bought some premixed hand spray products at my local hardware store thinking they would do the trick and after several trips and literally spending hundreds of dollars I was not getting the results I had hoped for. Finally I broke down and decided to get serious about the job so I went and bought a two gallon tank sprayer and a box of five 1.5 ounce packets of Roundup QuickPro (about $8 on Amazon). The packets were enough to do about two full tanks in my sprayer which covered a complete over-spray on the front flower beds (about 500 sq. ft.). I was amazed with the results. Within a week, almost all of the weeds in the front were dead and after a second spot treatment the beds were ready for mulch. This Spring I knew I would be attacking the flower beds in the back (about 1500 sq. ft.) and I decided to go all out and get the 6.8 lb. jug of QuickPro instead of ordering a bunch of the smaller packets (I did the math and the savings on buying bulk on this product were pretty substantial). I have only done one application on the the back beds so far but already the weeds are drastically thinning out. I am sure after another spot treatment, they will be all but eradicated.A few things you should know about this product...Roundup suggests a 1.5 oz. per gallon mix ratio for this product. With the amount of established weeds I had I doubled the strength for the initial spraying. On future spot applications I used about a 2 oz. per gallon mix ratio with excellent results. This will eliminate almost anything you spray it on. I was not very careful in the front beds and the over-spray killed a bush the product came in contact with. I would not recommend spraying on a breezy day. If this product drifts onto wanted plants or grass it will kill them. Secondly, do not expect immediate results. This product takes about 5-7 days and sometimes two applications to kill dense weed populations. If you want immediate results get the shovel, gloves, and kneepads out and start weeding by hand. Lastly, this product does not sterilize the soil. By that I mean that you will have weeds pop up from time to time in previously sprayed areas. Future spot treatments will be necessary to manage weeds that pop up but the density and population has drastically thinned over time.BOTTOM LINE...If you are sick of spending tons of money on herbicide and not getting results buy the Roundup QiuickPro 6.8 lb. jug. After the project I had, I have little doubt there is a project out there this product will not work on. That being said, be careful with it. This is a non-selective total kill solution strong enough for large jobs but versatile enough for precision spot treatments if you are careful with it. I would highly recommend it.
