Review: Great light for the money - Very bright light, easily controllable . Reasonably well built, very happy all round. Just note that if you buy a small rig V-lock plate (I couldn’t find a Neewer one for sale) and cable to power it via batteries, it is the wrong polarity and you’ll need to rewire the XLR end the opposite way round. Or get a D-Tap to XLR cable made up. Once I worked that out I was happy that it could be used via batteries or mains power, most useful. You’ll need a decent lighting stand too as once rigged , especially with a soft box, it can be front heavy.

Very bright light, easily controllable . Reasonably well built, very happy all round. Just note that if you buy a small rig V-lock plate (I couldn’t find a Neewer one for sale) and cable to power it via batteries, it is the wrong polarity and you’ll need to rewire the XLR end the opposite way round. Or get a D-Tap to XLR cable made up. Once I worked that out I was happy that it could be used via batteries or mains power, most useful. You’ll need a decent lighting stand too as once rigged , especially with a soft box, it can be front heavy.
