I recent got a Nagoya NMO-HDG Heavy Duty GMRS base antenna and decided to use this kit to mount the antenna using a short pole on the side of my roof. I like that it comes with a rain cap should I decide to remove the antenna for whatever reason, like high winds or other bad weather.

Antenna base works great. Only thing is on the bottom where coax meets mount is a little bulky. Protective cab is nice when antenna is not in use.

I like how it looks and holds the antenna. The screws were weak and 2 of the three of their heads snapped off.

Perfect for vhf/uhf nmo vehicular antenna installations. I understand why these products are sold assembled, but I wish products like these would take into account that you often have to fish the coax through some pretty tight spaces. That requires cutting off the connector. Plus, you often have/want to trim the coax because coiling up excess coax can lead to power loss. All that said, it works great. It's well-built.

There is no better or easier way to install bull bars or other antennas than with this base system. Comes with a nice cap to keep things dry when the antenna is stored. It installed easily and is plenty string for even a 47" bull bar antenna. I am very impressed with the nice, long, high quality cable and sturdy connections. Highly recommended.
