OXO Good Grips 11-Pound Digital Kitchen Food Scale

I love this OXO scale!! It replaced an expensive scale that I had purchased famous kitchen store. This scale is so accurate, easy to operate, clean, and store. Love the tare feature for bread making! Less frustration in the kitchen for less money! If the bowl of s to big, it has a pullout readout (pictured).

I recently started a quest to lose some weight and as part of that wanted to start logging all my food in an app. After some research I decided to give this one a try. I have always been happy with Oxo products and this is no exception. It is a good sized scale and I can still read the display even with a full sized plate sitting on it. I like that it is easy to zero and easy to switch between pounds, ounces, and grams. I also like that the output keeps displaying for plenty of time to make entries in my app. It looks nice, has a good range and seems durable. It's not cheap but I believe that it is worth the price.

I have wasted so much money recently on cheap kitchen scales that broke after the return window (seriously, one broke a week past it's return window.) Finally, I gave up and spent money on a trusted brand. We are very happy with this one. The scale section is removeable and washable, and the pull out display gives extra room for larger bowls - those 2 features alone made it worth the purchase. Excellent design and high quality build, as per usual with OXO products. You get what you pay for: this one costs, but it is worth it if you are a constant user and need accuracy and functionality.

It’s stainless steel. I wish it could be a different color. So McDonald’s. I prefer bright, cheery, happy stuff. But my options were black and stainless, so okay, fine, stainless it is. It’s a really good scale. I tested it for accuracy with weights. I got the one that holds extra weight because I want to put heavy bowls on it sometimes and fill them with flour or meat. I love that it can handle that. It is simple to use and easily toggles between metric and regular weights. It holds the weight on the screen nicely so you get time to write it down if you need to do that. It’s so easy to use that I tossed the explanation. I don’t have to re-read it. But the BEST part is the little pull-out display thingie. I LOVE THAT THING. No contortions required to check the weight. No button to lock. No nothing. I can just SEE the flippin thing. Alleluia. Oxo is generally reliable but they really knocked it out of the park here. (Would it kill them to offer one that is a less depressing color?)

This has immediately tuned into my favorite scale I’ve ever used. I wasn’t aware that there could be such large differences between kitchen scales, and have used a cheap one for a long time. I finally decided to get a new one though after seeing this one recommended in a baking book for its pull out display ability when measuring large bowls. Immediately the build and heft of the scale out of the box felt very high quality. It doesn’t feel cheap like my previous scale. I really like how large the weighing surface is, and the stainless steel looks really nice. The extending display is super amazing to have when I need it, and has really nice magnets to hold it in the proper place when not being used. The display is big and readable, and very bright as well. There are some other functionalities and thoughtful design touches that this scale has that make it much nicer than my other scale as well, as OXO is known for. The modes of weighing are really versatile and simple, you can set it to show pounds and ounces or just ounces, or kilograms and grams or just grams, which is really nice to use depending on how the recipe phrases weights without having to do any math in your head (very easy for grams I know, but still). Overall, I love this scale and if you don’t have a kitchen scale, definitely get this one over any others. If you have a kitchen scale that’s getting old or not working the best, or you just want a nice looking upgrade, this scale will give you everything you’re looking for as well.

I’m only giving 4 stars at this point because I just opened it. It seems to be a quality scale. It comes with 4 AAA batteries, which I love. Cheap batteries of course but I’ll use them until they run out. My old scale had one of those disc batteries and also needed a screwdriver to change it. This scale doesn’t require a screwdriver to insert or change the batteries. The display is nice and bright, unlike my old one which was a little harder to see. The best feature is how you can pull out the display in the event you have a large item on the scale that hides the display. The finish is very nice and can easily be wiped clean. It came with blue film to protect the finish. My old scale didn’t seem to be super accurate. Hopefully this one will be right on ! I’ve included pictures of my old one (black) and the new one.

This is our first kitchen scale and has brought much more precision and consistency into our cooking and baking. Can measure in grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds. The pull out display is useful for when measuring larger items/bowls. Definitely worth the money.. another solid item from OXO.

This is making my sourdough feeding and measuring for dough SO much easier. The scale is fast, I am no over pouring my water now, and I can use my stand mixer bowl and not have to use so many smaller bowls because the scale can handle the weigh, AND I can see the display by pull it out. I do have to wipe it a bit, because I tend to be messy, but it's really not a big deal. I keep 'canned air' in my kitchen for tiny task like flour/coffee grinds that like to get stuck in places.

Really like this scale it’s solid, easy to use, decent size, quick response and gives you time to tend to other things and not lose registered weight. Tried 3 other scales and this is a keeper!

Bel objet, bien construit. Mais petit bémol concernant la précision : si on met un récipient et qu’on fait le tarage à zéro, après 3..4 minutes la tare dévie légèrement, jusqu’à 5 grammes.
