Royal 29043X Alpha 1000ML Cash Register

A little light weight & cheaply made compared to our last much older Royal machine. No clear, detailed instructions on running & loading both journal & customer receipt tapes at the same time. Not real happy with product but guess it will minimally serve its purpose for small business store.

I am still trying to figure it out. I create Departments and when I try to find the items in the dept, if the more than one item have the same price, I don't see the option to choose the one I want. I really did not think it would be such a challenge to figure out.

We got this for our bar restaurant business. Needed one that rang purchases fast and did not use lots of paper, since we don't give receipts. This register is just what we wanted. Only complaint, and it is minor, is that the bill slots could be a bit wider. Good purchase.

Purchased this to replace a sturdy, reliable old dinosaur of a register that lasted nearly 20 years. This flimsy plastic register had the feel of a toy right out of the box. I've owned it now for a year and a half. Several of the plastic buttons fall off at will, and now the 'beep' with register errors has stopped sounding. The manual offers full and partial reset options that do nothing. The customer service 'hotline' promptly connects me to someone who can offer no help. I now have to buy a new register.... again.

If you do not have a lot of inventory this is OK. I had to call in and have the service department walk me through the connecting to my PC.

Works fine. Seems a little cheap. Bill drawer smaller than my last register cramped fit. My last Royal was older but much more sturdy. Still it works fine for the price.

The receipt paper rollers doesn't work the motor doesn't rewind. My other one worked great

I run a summer fireworks stand and this is the perfect size for a pop-up stand. I run it off a power converter that i also bought from amazon. The only down side is that it does not have a usb port to support my scanner but a quick look at the manual showed me that there is a adapter you can buy (also on amazon).

Comunicación con computadora por RS232 nunca funcionó.Tamaño de SD, no acepta mayor a 2Go.Formato de archivos no compatible con Windows (no usa CR LF)Software para lectura SD no detecta bien la SD, se traba y no es de gran utilidad.Pantalla para cliente prende solo a veces.Muy decepcionada por ese producto pero me habían obligado a conseguir ese modelo completamente antiguo en 2018.

We do not find it to be user friendly - many things we can't figure out even with reading the book.
