I have an interest in early digital cameras, so I still at times find myself reaching frequently for CF cards (and occasionally for XD and Memory Stick). This reader provides that, as well as two micro and full-size SD card slots for more practical use, and it does all of this in a sleek, compact package. The reader seems solidly built: an aluminum body with plastic endcaps and a row of status lights, with no annoying branding. It's been my go-to reader at my desk and when I'm mobile. My only major complaint is that the cable comes permanently attached, so if that ever breaks the whole thing is e-waste, but the strain relief seems decent enough. Overall an excellent card reader if you have some older devices kicking around that don't all take SD.

it took me a while to find a adapter for the sony cybershot camera and this one finally works! the adapter itself is heavy duty which is great

Exactly fits my intended use

I have a wide range of cameras and video capture devices within my fleet of household gadgets. Some of them are older than others and as a result I still use compact flash. My previous unit I used to read these died. As a result I was forced to manually attach a cable to the camera to move pictures. I decided that wasn't going to fly anymore. This device had multi read options for different formats and it was picked up so I could attach it to read any format I would need to pull data from.There's not much to review on this item however I will state the units strong suits:1) It has USB-C - USB a is going by the wayside so a usb C adapter is going to future proof me long into the future.2) It supports all major removable storage formats (Except Tape *IMHO those don't count)3) It has 2 "Micro SD" card slots. Sometimes you want to transfer data from one into another, or just have more than one plugged in at any given time and that's a major perk.4) It's fast. I was pulling some of the highest read speeds out of a "Class 3" card that I've seen. Considering it's a moderate Micro card to see it pulling 71+ MBps from a simple Video Files transfer is exceptional.Honestly the read speeds between a few cards blew me away. The example I gave is the fastest speed I've clocked from this individual card. I'm now pitching my trusty SanDisk Reader as this thing has it beat in speed and functionality.

I grabbed this because my old desktop had a built CF reader. My replacement doesn't have any type of card reader. This thing looks pretty nice. It's made of aluminum and feels pretty solid. It is a pretty small footprint, so it doesn't take up a lot of space or feels clunky. It reads a lot of different cards and is great for a desktop or mac that doesn't have card options (or this many, as some of these card types aren't as popular or manufactured any longer). Plug and Play in Windows 11. I also tested it on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and it had no issues detected the microSDXC card that was plugged in.Nice reader/writer to keep around just because you'll need one at some point.
