A cheap and cheerful machine with no frills but it gets the job done and surprisingly well
Received yesterday in the usual courier bruised packaging, product itself is safe and sound and well protected inside. Did a double rinse through with just water (instructions only say you need to do this once) First coffee this morning... Temperature is hot but not boiling, poured straight into a thermos for the day and it's just above comfortable drinking temperature. No leaks, smooth flow... The grinder is a loud but quieter than my old coffee machine and coffee came out tasting great. Easy to clean with a full pull out top (grinder, water reservoir and filter) just make sure everything is dry before you put it back together! It is a cheap and cheerful machine with no frills but it does what it says on the tin (at least on day one) and is getting the job done Update one week on: The machine is still running great and I'm in the flow with it, due to time I try to make my morning coffee and coffee to go at the same time but as the pot is relatively small this can be a challenge, my solution. Measure out the water for my morning coffee cup and put in four scoops of beans (intensity 5 from a large supermarket chain, surprisingly great coffee and price for 1KG!) set the machine to fine grind and let it run, once the first batch has filtered through, open the lid and wait a couple of minutes for the pressure to drop and then fill with enough water for my thermos, select the coffee powder option and let it run. Coffee comes out hot enough to drink but not too hot where it burns your mouth or too cold where you need to microwave or top up with water from the kettle. Cleaning is also a breeze, everything in the brewing cycle is removable, even the water spout at the top, a well thought out and designed machine, longevity is yet to be seen.

Tower T13001 10 Cup Coffee Maker
good coffee maker. so far it's been reliable and durable. if you want a coffee maker that's easy to use...get this one. it's very basic and simple. it has no timers or other controls. it has a permanent plastic filter. my brother puts paper filters inside the main filter this makes it easier to keep clean. he just fulls it with water and adds the amount of coffee to his liking then switch's it on. the only downside is it doesn't keep the coffee very warm with it's hot plate and he has to microwave the coffee to heat it up. makes great coffee. recommended.

Inexpensive, reliable and simple to use
If you are looking for an inexpensive, reliable and simple to use coffee machine this is the one! Ours has been in daily use for a few years now with zero issues. This is a simple machine with no whistles or bells; what it does is make good coffee (repeatedly) and then keep it hot for around forty minutes before the hotplate switches off. I like the fact that it self-regulates the time - saves energy and helps to prevent mishaps. The coffee maker comes complete with reusable filter (paper filters can also be used) and a large jug (enough for four generous mugs). The filter is really easy to keep clean and an occasional 'brew' with clean water will help maintain the internals of the machine. Very highly recommended.

Putting things straight! The coffee maker is good!
The reviews made me scared I bought a terrible coffee machine that is going to make one plastic tasting cup of coffee after which I'm going to spend an hour cleaning the machine! All Lies! So here is what to expect from this coffee machine: • the grinder is a bit loud as are all grinders! Let's be realistic! It does not make any more noise than any stand alone coffee grinder. • the machine is small, the carafe is small (and extra cute) but that's what is advertised 600ml is about 2 regular coffee mugs which is what it makes or 4 medium coffee cups so if you are someone looking for a machine to make coffee for more than 2-4 people at a time do not expect this one to be it • yes there is a hot plate to keep the coffee warm and it gets very hot. I have no clue how long it keeps it warm for as we usually get through coffee quick in the morning but I would expect at least 30mins • the plastic taste debate! - we were worried but did not taste any plastic. I would say it's very important to follow the cleaning instructions before use and if ur worried repeat them an extra time just to be sure • the ease of cleaning - well it requires cleaning every time you use it but it really is easy! The grinder and filter come in a removable basket that you can take out and wash. Overall it is a very good bean to cup coffee machine, it's simple without any extra gadgets and makes great coffee in a few minutes while I'm getting ready for the day. It gives you the option to use already ground coffee and to coarsely or finely grind beans so there is a few options. Loving this coffee maker it makes good coffee it doesn't take up half of the kitchen counter and it's simple to use. P.S. not all flavour is down to the coffe maker, put cheap flavourless beans in there and it's going to make awful coffee, you take out what you put in people!

Not a bad coffee maker
I've been using "coffee pod" machines for a few years now but wanted to move away from all the plastic/packaging waste that comes with them. Considered a simple filter machine or cafetiere type jug but wanted something I could simply throw some coffee beans in - and I like gadgets. Found it easy enough to set up, although having used filter coffee makers in the past I sort of knew what to do. Instructions reasonably clear, although not the best (suspect they have been translated from the Chinese originals). Put water in reservoir, beans in grinding chamber, close the lid and press the Start button. Grinder function is loud - very loud - but only to be expected really as some very sharp blades are whizzing round at high speed and literally chopping the coffee beans into a coarse powder. Can alternatively use ready-ground coffee if you prefer (in which case there is no noise). Grinder appears to do a thorough job. Water is heated to boiling and allowed to trickle through the ground coffee and into the waiting jug. Once finished, the heating element switches on and off as needed, keeping the glass jug hot for 1/2 an hour or so before switching off completely. Clean-up is fairly easy as the brewing basket simply lifts out and then the water reservoir & brewing/grinding chamber likewise. All working parts can then be rinsed clean of coffee grounds under the tap. Will probably need a more thorough was with detergent etc every so often. All in all, a good entry-level bean-to-cup machine. Except for the grinder noise - it really is loud.

Great little product for a fab price!
This is a great little product if you don’t want an industrial sized coffee maker. Really easy to use and to clean. It can make 4 regular to small size cups of coffee however I would say it can only make 2 large cups of coffee in one go. It’s really quick at grinding the beans and making the coffee too. My only tip would be, when you follow the instructions to boil just water in the machine when you use it for the first time, I would do that actually 7 or 8 times to get rid of the “chemical” taste in your coffee. Great product overall though and at a fab price!

Good value, basic coffee maker
For a simple filter coffee machine that won't break the bank, the Tower 10 cup coffee maker is hard to beat. Very straightforward to use - add water, coffee and press the button. No frills, but good coffee nonetheless. Simple to clean: rinse and dry the jug, empty the coffee grounds from the permanent filter into the compost bucket, and wipe the inside of the machine dry. 1.25 litres divided by 10, gives 125ml, so you'd have to have pretty small cups to get 10 from this machine, but it will make 5 large mugs. I usually make two at a time (filled to the 4-cup mark) and it takes around 5 minutes to brew. I do like a hot cup of coffee, and my one criticism is that the coffee isn't particularly hot. Pour out a mug and give it 30 seconds in the microwave is my solution to that problem. All-in-all, I recommend this machine,

Nice individual machine
Bought this as I occasionally fancy a coffee. Rather pleased with it as it makes enough for a large mugfull. Dead simple to use either with coffee beans, which it grinds to a switchable coarse or fine or there is a powder option. As others have noted, the grinder is quite noisy but what would you expect? It's grinding hard beans to a coarse dust but only for a minute or so, the end result is worth it. Cleaning is straightforward enough. The business part just lifts straight out using its folding handle and it's then a matter of just lifting out the filter basket which exposes the cutting blades and all can be rinsed in a matter of seconds. One nice feature is the fact there are no drips while carrying it to the sink. Instant is a lot quicker and a lot less fuss but it doesn't have the same aroma.

Amazing machine
It came earlier than expected. Tested it and it's a wonderful machine, easy to clean after the process. So now, it's a matter of time how long it will last. Buy it now!
