Etymotic Research® ER-15 Single Filter for Musicians' Earplugs™ (Blue)

These work great at bringing noise levels down to a comfortable level. You need custom earmolds from an audiologist and these are interchangeable with other db-level attenuators in them. These have saved my hearing more times over the years than I can count and I'm thankful to have them. I have the 9's, 15's, 25's and blocking versions and I used them based all.

I use these in my band room everyday. They block out the too highs and the sharp attacks yet you can still hear students speaking to you. I wish they would have had these back in the 1980s when I was playing professionally, perhaps I would have more of my hearing left today! I highly recommend these for any serious musician.

Go to an audiologist and get the ear insert parts made... Then order the filters they don't provide "for free." We got the middle range (here) with the original order, and ordered the others from Amazon. They fit and work fine. Save your hearing - and your sleep, etc. Well worth it.

The filters I had before worked fine until they went in washing machine. You can’t get them wet. The new ones are fine.

I always check to make sure I have these in my pockets, along with wallet and cellphone. Super essential, and they will work wonders on preserving your hearing. Highly recommended!
