Surprisingly good - as part of a team effort
Seems very good. I had fitted the cat with a bell of sorts and he went back from catching a bird every day to getting one every other day (roughly). Then I fitted him with the 'high tech' Liberator collar, which ended up with precisely the same result. I added the Ancol bell to the Liberator collar (as suggested in reviews) - more in desperation than anything else - and the combination seems to work very well. He's had the hybrid deterrent on for about 5 days now and still no birds. He's a tiny cat, black, and very quick on his feet, so he's deadly to birds otherwise. I expect he'll catch some more in the course of time, but the Ancol bell and Liberator collar seems to have largely stopped him in his tracks.

Works but not long term.
Worked for two months but don't expect this to work forever. (Assuming you bought it to stop your cat catching birds). She got used to the bell and learned to be a better hunter with it.

Protection for garden birds
I think that these bells will work.... I fitted 2 and she hasn't yet learnt to jump or run without them ringing

Dog bell!
I purchased two of these bells for use on my dog's harness so that I can locate her when she is off lead. She is a Teckel and can disappear into the undergrowth very easily if she picks up the scent of something interesting. One bell has proved to be loud enough....so I have kept the second one as a spare.

Good size
The bells are as described and a really good size for a cat although they are quite large. I have found that only using small bells as supplied on some collars is not enough. My cat could move silently with just the one bell. I shall use these on a full grown animals as too big for kittens.
