Significantly reduced moisture, humidity read at 50% before putting the desiccants in. Now it reads 39%. It shows 40 in the pic because I had the door open.

Living in a tropical environment, keeping moisture out is a struggle. These work great for my gun cases and my safe. Had them for a few months and things are dry and have not had to “recharge” them in the microwave yet. Highly recommend

The bags arrived fully charged, or dry, and ready for use. One bag with product initially weighed in at 291 grams, the other 283 grams - given the low weight of the bags, these two were slightly overcharged versus the claimed 250 gram nominal charge, which is a good thing.Compared to other similar products, I found this one to be a bit pricey - though the price was reduced slightly between order and the review.The bag size of this item is physically large for the amount of desiccant, so it appears to absorb moisture quickly, versus other similar products that are packaged in smaller, more dense, bags. That may be a bit of an advantage.Another observation after the first extended use and recharge is that this bag (perhaps due to the large size of the bag itself) appears to be able to absorb more moisture than the seller's standard recharge cycle is able to eliminate. You can see that when you pull the bag out of the microwave with the color changed to a fairly bright blue, but after it sits and cools (I put it on a paper towel) you can feel the continued moisture coming out of the product, the paper towel under it will get damp, and the moisture indicator will start to turn back toward less blue and perhaps even back to pink. If that happens, and the indicator doesn't remain blue after cooling, you may need to run it through another cycle of recharging until the indicator remains solid bright blue after cooling. I have seen a variety of recharge microwave "recipes" from various vendors who are selling much the same products - running this one through two cycles of the recommended recharge cycle would be consistent for the weight versus the recharge cycles used by other vendors. The main thing you don't want to do is let the product to get too hot, so follow the recommended recharge cycle, and let it cool between cycles if the indicator color says it hasn't been fully dried.This item is targeted for gun safes, but can be used anywhere moisture needs to be controlled. Given the price point, the best rating I can assign it is a 4 star, but there is no issue with it's function.

These are maybe good for one gun in a humid climate. Theyre smaller than they seem. I had ones a lot bigger from a different brand and still had rust issues in my large gun safe and these probably wont help much in a large safe. I keep the safe in my bedroom too. Not garage.
