Fairy Tale Princesses & Storybook Darlings Coloring Book Paperback – Illustrated, 17 Feb. 2018

I’ve admired Hannah Lynn’s work for a long time via Facebook but as I have so many colouring books I have been trying to behave and not buy new ones...as you can probably tell by the fact I am writing a review, I failed miserably (again 😂). However I cannot be disappointed with such a lovely book at my fingertips! The paper is a bright white, medium weight, smooth paper. Images are single sided but if you want to use an alcohol based medium such as markers then you definitely need to put something between the pages so that any bleed through doesn’t ruin the following pages.The images are adorable. A nice change from my usual style of images which is more realistic and less cartoon-y (in style rather than subject matter as I usually go for fantasy/mythology based images). These are definitely not realistic looking figure but they are a lot of fun to colour without having to obsess over whether the shadows in the skin tone match etc. It makes for a more relaxed colouring experience.I love the theme, the fairytale/storybook characters are great and I am particularly enjoying the fact that there are two copies of each image so you can try out different ideas and it’s always handy if you mess up a particular favourite.The picture I included with this review was done with TouchFive alcohol markers (fake/cheap version of Copics) with Prismacolor Scholar pencils over the top and a touch of white gel pen.As for my decision to buy no more colouring books? Well, I liked this one so much I bought her latest book, Steampunk Darlings! Ooopsies! 😂

An absolutely beautiful colouring book!Hannah Lynn's books are always stunning- they're well drawn- good paper quality- no blurring on the print.This one is a little different to the usual Hannah books- as in- instead of it being 50 different images- its 2 copies of 25 images- a slight difference in the 2 images is the shading on the eyes.The images themselves are gorgeous- lots of different fairy tale characters ranging from Cinderella, to little red riding hood to Hansel and Gretel.Images have different levels of detail so you can choose from a less detailed image with larger colouring spaces for when you just want to colour mindlessly to extremely detailed images for when you want something to really concentrate on.I've been using Chameleon markers on this book- and with a piece of card slotted behind so they dont leak through- the page has been taking the colour really well. There has been no bleeding through the lines.

i lost this colouring book in a move and i couldn’t find it all i knew is it had a princess on the cover. i finally found it again and orderd it so happyim sure the back of the picture was black so ur inks didn’t go through

I love this artist and hadn’t seen this colouring book, until it came up in my suggestions.As I was looking for another colouring book I decided to give this one a go because I loved the look of the pictures.When it arrived it was well packaged and in great condition.The images are brilliant and all single sided, so you can use quite a few mediums on it.All of the images are based on fairytales and they art is fantastic.You will not be disappointed if you order this.

Really nice images in this book and two of each page, paper not thick but thicker then copy paper, its one sided and pencils I found no problem laying down or blending, markers will bleed so put sheet under page you work on, besides that its a great book nice detail in backgrounds also and beautiful images from Cinderella alice in wonderland and so on.

Such a beautiful book from Hannah Lynn, maybe one of her nicest! The drawings are much more detailed than the other books, I think, especially the backgrounds.I find most alcohol markers and brush pens perform well on this paper for me. And of course it’s nice that the images are single-sided and that we get 2 of every picture - in case we love it so much the first time that we want to colour it in all over again! 😊

Another beautiful colouring book from Hannah Lynn! All the images are fairytale/storybook themed that take you right back to childhood. Peter Pan, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, all the recognisable characters are in here, depicted in Hannah's sweet style. There are two of each image so you have the opportunity to colour each page a second time, one of which has added greyscale shading on the eyes to add an effect to the colouring. A wonderfully magical book!

The girl's faces are exactly the same in each picture just at a different angle and different hair. The hands are very simplistic and the same in each picture. Seriously love the coloring book anyway. It's very enjoyable to see how the same face turns out very different from one another with just different skin, eye color, and make up. I have many markers and skin-tone markers so this is possible for me and won't be for many others. The outfits are mostly different and fun to color also. There are 2 copies of each pic so only half the book is original pics. Read reviews where many enjoyed coloring both pages of the 1 image. I have granddaughters who love the book so they get the 2nd one and love to color them. So I'm happy with duplicate pages. Even though I've said some things that lean towards negative feelings, I really do love the coloring book. Just trying to be honest in review so you'll know what getting. I enjoy the coloring book so much, I've ordered the Princess one and probably will order the Halloween coloring book also and color it out of season. So obviously I love this coloring book if want to purchase more by the artist. Recommend.

I LOVE Hannah's Books! I admin a group based on her work, called Hannah Lynn's Whimsical Adult Coloring. If you're not a member there I definitely recommend joining! This book is absolutely gorgeous and soooo cute and whimsical Their are 25 unique images containing princesses and fairy tale characters, such as Snow White, Little miss Muffet, and The Wizard of OZ, as well as some cute and cuddly critters! This book also has two copies of each image which i LOVE because I'm always too scared to color my favorites. With two images, I can dive on in and still have a spare copy to save and color later on. The paper is the usual Createspace paper used in all her previous books, but I don't have an issue getting a gorgeous result while using it. If paper is an issue for you, Hannah does offer PDF files on her website and her Etsy, and you can always scan the images and print onto better paper. The images are also single sided, so as long as you have a blank protective page in between your images, you're safe to use almost any kind of medium you wish on it. Another neat feature I love about Hannah's books is they all (Aside from I Dream In Color) have a thumbnail page with the title of the girls. I use these to check off and keep track of what images I have done and which are my favorites. Hannah is a sweet and wonderful person, who is very dedicated to her fans.
