Superbaking Sourdough Banneton Bread Proofing Basket, 9" Round & 10" Oval

So far I am loving this set! I’ve only made one loaf so far but everything already seems to be better quality and more sturdy than my previous set. It’s a great place to start for a beginner. My previous banneton became misshapen and I’m hoping this won’t!

This item is gift worthy! I bought it for myself and the packaging of every single piece of this package is so well done and thoughtful. Like you were ordering a gift basket from a higher-end online gift delivery company. I was quite pleasantly surprised given the lower price point. Not only are there a lot of items in this package, but they are of the highest quality, down to the razor blades individually wrapped in mini envelopes in a leather pouch. Just love this, I will definitely be gifting this for certain! I bought the burgundy and love it. I can’t wait to get started!

For the most part the items included in the kit are useful and will help in sourdough baking. But a couple are useless, cheap, and I'm not sure why they were included. The tool for cutting slashes into the finished dough before baking was dull, too small, and worthless. The banneton has a crack along the cane second from the top. But overall, the items will be useful. The dough mixer (I think it's called a Dutch whisk) is a game changer. So much better than a regular spatula or whisk. Overall, I'm satisfied with what I kept but I think there are better kits out there.

I bought this for my dad. I don’t think he’s ever used it but it’s really nice and looks really good.

This set was just what I needed to kick off my home baking business. The banneton is made of premium rattan, smooth and splinter-free. The banneton liner is made of natural flax and fits the banneton perfectly. It has smooth seams and tight stitching. The Danish whisk works better than I thought it would, and the scoring lame works so much better than even the sharpest knife. The scrapers are useful for shaping your boule and dividing dough. The only thing missing from this basic set is a starter jar, but at the price, it is worth getting one separately. Just be aware that you will need to rub the wooden handles with some mineral oil or beeswax. They have no finish on them.

I got this as a gift for a coworker who recently started getting into sourdough baking. When they opened it, they were very excited, as it came with a lot of useful products. I do wish that it came with a wooden spatula, but the plastic one isn't bad.

I received my package YESTERDAY I washed all components. The scrub brush that came with it came apart. At $118 you would hope it would be better quality. I have not even used it for the first time yet, already it's broken! Very disappointing!
