Are you like me? Do you throw your MTB over inadvisable obstacles like tree roots and cows? Well my friend if you like buying new chainrings, chains, bottom brackets, and cranks, then skip right over this review. However, if you're not really willing to ride in a sensible manner and yet like your bike to function well despite your reckless disregard, then get one of these little chunks of aluminum and bolt this sucker right to your bike. Make sure you have the type of bike that has two pre-drilled and threaded holes down near the crank (see photos you'll see the screws in the area I'm talking about). It takes two screws and about a minute and a half to mount, and the next time you go flying over your handlebars after bouncing off of a protruding rock that you really thought you could clear, your mind will be at ease because you will know your crank-related components are protected. My chainring is 32T so I cannot say for sure how well it would work with a 40T which I have no experience with.

Schützt das Kettenblatt super und sieht in Rot auch super aus. Wichtig ist aber es hält einiges aus wenn man mal Bodenkontakt hat.

Per sicurezza sulla mia bici da enduro monto sempre un paracatena tipo questo. Solitamente uso quelli con inserti in plastica/poliuretano che hanno la possibilità si sostituire proprio questo pezzo senza dover smontare tutto.Questo invece è interamente realizzato in alluminio satinato davvero ben fatto. La finitura è molto bella e sembra anche essere molto resistente. I fori per le visi hanno forme allungate così da poterlo regolare come si vuole e quindi serrare le due viti (contenute nella confezione insieme ad una brugola) al meglio.Devo dire che mi piace molto. Risulta anche molto discreto una volta montato.

Se trata de un protector para colocará en la bicicleta y poder proteger la zona del plato, cadena,biela,etc.La placa está hecha de aleación de aluminio y está muy bien acabada.La colocación es sencilla tan solo debes de tener en cuenta que tú bicicleta tenga de origen los huecos para poder poner los tornillos que la sujetan.Con este protector lo que consigues a parte de su función que es la proteger es que tú vayas más cómodos y relajado en la bicicleta y no te tengas que preocupar tanto de esa zona de la bicicleta y vayas más pendiente de por donde vas.

I fitted this to my enduro MTB to protect the chainring from Rock Strikes and it works really well. It is actually quite heavy but it’s VERY robust - I don’t see it breaking easily and will definitely stop my chainring getting smashed. I run an oval SRAM 32T ring and it fits fine.
