My old sandals, similar to thee, needed an added cushion to give some support. These have very good support for the arch and are soft enough to cushion your entire foot. Wore them for 10 hrs straight last weekend standing with no pain or discomfort. As noted by other buyers, the straps are somewhat short but they do stay closed all the time they are worn.

I've probably got 50 miles of hiking on them so far, plus a couple months of everyday wear. They still look new, and are extremely comfortable.Off-road, these really shine. From climbing around on slimy waterfalls, to hiking muddy trails to wading through streams these things grip after they get broken in. The dog likes to play tug of war, and even on wet grass she can't budge me (and all 75 lbs of her is trying)They're extremely water proof, and clean off easy with a hose after getting muddy. The foot bed has something in it to keep 'em from stinking after a hard hike and it works wonderfully. I've got swamp-foot and can take these off indoors without fogging out the rest of the occupants of the room.Durability- wise, they stretched out a little at first but haven't budged since. Even after getting them caked in mud a couple times, and climbing around on rocks, they still look new.They do run a little big, length- wise, but not much. Width is spot on. The arch is fine for my flatter than normal feet, maybe a bit high but is squishy enough to still be comfortable.All in all, worth every penny.
