I adjusted the air and water a little bit when I got it but I'd recommend NOT doing that first because I think the issue was my technique of flipping. Instead of rotating it to flip it, imagine flipping it like how you flip a coin but slowly. Try to get the air bubble(s) to move across and stop the sand from falling as quickly as you can. I get it wrong about half the time and all the sand falls fast because the bubbles don't stretch across. However, when I get it right I get amazing sandscapes! I'd try that first and watch some YouTube on how to add/remove air and visually get an idea of how much air you see in the sand art. I definitely think it was worth the money overall and recommend getting practice in flipping the orientation (and using patience) before you adjust the air or water levels.
