I Fought the Law: Photographs by Olivia Locher of the Strangest Laws from Each of the 50 States (Quirky Book of Laws, Strange Facts)

I've been following Olivia's work for a while now and am so excited to see it exist in a hard copy book form. Let's start with the cover (because we all judge books by their covers): The cover and overall design of the book successfully capture the youthful, colorful-yet-lots-of-negative-space, playful spirit of Olivia's work. I admire Olivia's creativity and versatility, be it using herself as a subject or portraits of others, while still maintaining the same colorful, off-beat, and satirical overtones that define her work. She's only a few years older than me and I hope to accomplish something just as great when I'm her age.

Hilarious! Wonderful and creative photos. I just wish there were more of them. Definitely a fun book with a very clever premise.

Most of the laws mentioned are no longer accurate or were myths. It doesn't give context on which ones specifically were myths, no longer exist etc.

I love it. The book is so funny I kept showing it off to everyone.

Poorly written; not even put together right. Some pages were duplicated, some out of sequence, some totally missing. Very disappointing!

Stunning pictures

Definitely cute and funny. But not repeat not meant for kids! Too many of them were kind of creepy sexual stuff.

I've been a fan of Locher's work for a while and was thrilled to learn about this book. I was not disappointed. What Olivia does best is tell stories through her signature style - and that's exactly what she does here. Often with absolutely hilarious results. This makes an amazing gift and is a wonderful coffee table book.
