My child also learned the names of all of the fruits so it was a great vocab builder. We also sorted the fruits into colors. We also have a puppet that likes to "eat" these fruits as well. This is probably my best time spent playing vs money spent toy and my child can and will play independently with it. *******HOWEVER, I removed the avocado pit when we bought it and do not let him play with it. Real wood, beautiful colors. No concern about choking as the size of the parts are great.
