I bought these to replace a set of amber halogen floods. Figured I'd better get with the LED times. Comparatively, they're extremely bright - hard on the eyes when you look directly - but because of the color filter and probably the nature of the LED bulbs, the brightness falls off over a very short distance. Also, they're not remotely amber; these are very much extremely saturated orange. Jack-o-lantern orange. Tangerine peel orange.They're not for me for that reason, but they are nevertheless solid, bright, well-built lamps, they fit a standard socket and are dimmable (though, do note that at 75% they give off more like 60% of the brightness).I recommend for either illuminating from a relatively short distance or from a low height, or for outdoor applications where widely-dispersed orange light is your objective.

Works great! Light is very bright. Lens is clear when turned off but it casts an even green glow when switched on. Great for uplighting trees in my atrium.

I tried various other LED units from here on Amazon and incandescent bulbs from the landscaping store and none compared to these. None of the others did the job. The color just wasn't there. I wanted red and green light wash on the front of my house for Christmas. The others, you could hardly tell they were doing anything.Not with these. These babies gave it a nice deep red and green color. Don't bother with anything else here on Amazon. Get these and be done with it.

Bought 4 of these bulbs , along with 4 of each red and green, the bulbs lasted 1 month, which just happens to coincide with my return or exchange window , these lights run for roughly 6 hours a night and the base of 2 melted where it screws in , LED lights melting plastic , well that's a first for me , we received light rain and there is quite a bit of water inside , the lights were perfect as of description and brightness, and an awesome color of blue as well, but do not buy for outside use , and do not install in an area that hard to get to or permanent type setting because you'll be replacing regularly...I've ordered blue spots but glass this time, hopefully it's the right color blue.....

Bought a pair of each Red and Green as at the time getting them separately was somehow cheaper than the actual R+G bundle (was $105 at time).Installed them in my porch receptacles even knowing that they are more for flood light purposes, but seem to be the best option with dimming capabilities.At first it was had to tell the color of the lights as they don't have a colored lens, they're clear. There's little writing on the base that indicates the color. The red is a bit more noticeable with a red led inside showing.Lights are super bright, can see my place from afar.The only unfortunate thing, is that when I try to dim them, the green overpowers the red, so then everything just looks green instead as shown in my photos.Maybe it's due to my sockets are not all evenly spaced.

We used two of these to give a green cast to some stage lighting in a theater. Worked great!
