Kids love them, So do I
Having owned a few other hand crank flashlights I can attest to the fact that they generally do not last a really long time. I anticipate these will be about as durable as others I have paid in the $7-10 range per unit.I tested one that had been sitting for 7 months to see how long it would remain lit on a single charge. It was still bright enough to walk a dark forest trail at night after 14 hours without recharge. It had dimmed noticeably but was probably still putting out as much light as a candle. Some reviewers of similar and possibly identical lights state their lights have three coin cells that are not rechargeable rather than a capacitor or rechargeable battery. I have not opened mine but the one I ran to exhaustion did take a recharge and hold it for 6 hours from hand gripping the pump handle for a few minutes. I have no idea if the charge will or would hold for months again but in a pinch, these hold a charge for a while after having been nearly fully discharged.Treat them as quality disposable worry free flashlights and you will not be disappointed. We are give these out for Halloween and to our grandchildren at reunions.I did buy nicer ones for adult family members at about 4 times the unit price.

It's garbage runs that on 3 cell batteries that won't recharge
This is just a scam, what a waste of plastic and batteries.
