Air King RF-34S 7-5/8-Inch Replacement Charcoal Odor Filter for Designer Series Hoods, Silver Finish

I bought this to add to my hood range that has no exhaust to the outside of our apartment. The day i got it i installed it. It fits, tightly even but it fit. It doesn't clank with the fan or anything.That same day i turned it on and it worked the smell seemed to disappear.After a few more uses we could start smelling the food i made again, so not sure if it will hold up the three months it minimally is supposed to, so we will see and i will update.

This vent hood comes with 2 filters.the one that is with the vent hood is the regular, "screen" filter.The one they send outside the box is the charcoal one.. since this is an indoor blown vent hood you can use the regular filter most of the time and switch over to the charcoal one if your cooking something thats going to have a bit heavier smoke. (I put an LED bulb in it to last long and doesn't heat up)

On my model range hood, Air King DS1308, I had to stretch the primary grease filter just a bit to make this charcoal filter fit in the pocket underneath. I can't say which filter is a fault since they are both new to me but they will fit with a little work. Wouldn't think this should be needed as everything is Air King Brand.

Can't run a outside vent so this will help with steam and odors, I hope! And the smoke detector going off!

Don't get me wrong, the product is wonderful for the price but don't like that when I ordered the grease filter along with this that each one had separate shipping prices for each one and came packaged together so the $4.99 shipping on each product made it not a great deal.

Item was received in a paper mailing folder but was undamaged. The charcoal filter does fit into a depression in the grease filter, but doesn't hit the fan on my unit. The design is very basic but seems functional. No complaints at this time. The price and availability from Amazon is beyond compare!

This fit into my molded mesh grease filter fine, it is a hair thicker than the one I had, so it didn't have a 100% perfect fit, but it did fit fine in my opinion, and is doing its job that I'm expecting.

This filter was easy to install and fit perfectly into the Air King AV 1308. Took less than 5 minutes to install.
