Brilliant addition to my Tapo set up, links to my hub and Alexa. Really easy to set up and used in a floor standing lamp in the living room. It's bright and the options to change the colour, brightness and shades are fantastic. Once again a great Tapo product.

These bulbs last .they're easy to connect up. they function great.no flickering great colours excellent value for money.just follow instructions for connecting to your WiFi .they do seem to connect much easier with matter.worth that bit extra glad I updated them now as I don't have to reboot them if I loose signal they do it automatically sticking with the tapo brand now.

Good bulbs, The Matter connectivity allows it to connect quickly with most systems such as alexa, which detected the bulb when turned on. Nice and bright with good colour representation.

Excellent when it works, but will occasionally disconnect from the WiFi and/or your app and it can be a pain to reconnect. Thankfully that only happens very occasionally, otherwise it's super useful as you can change the brightness and colour to suit your mood or have it react to music if that's your thing

Very affordable, and so easy to use. The app is very well designed and simple which is perfect. With one press of a button you can turn the light on. I only use my mobile device but connecting it to a home control system is also very easy to do so. It is very customisable, from colour temperature, to the colours themselves and the brightness.

This Tapo bulb impressed me from the start. Setup was effortless through the Tapo app and paired instantly with Alexa. The brightness is excellent more than enough to light a medium-sized room and colours are vibrant without looking artificial. Definately worth getting into the tapo ecosystem over phillips with the other items available I’ve set it on a timer to come on gradually in the mornings, and it works every time without delay. The energy monitoring feature is a nice bonus too. The integration with Matter means it’ll work across platforms if I ever switch ecosystems. For the price, it’s outstanding value and performs just as well as Philips Hue bulbs I’ve owned previously.

so easy to set up and use great when on holiday x

So, I bought 6 of these on a good deal! I have HomeAssistant Yellow as my Matter Coordinator! I refuse to install anything else on my phone! I used the Home Assistant app to adopt it into my network! Here are the key things 1. If you have a separate IoT network, make sure your phone is on this network temporarily, else you are never going to get it adopted correctly 2. Scan the qr code before turning the bulb on and initiate the pairing on the app, then turn the bulb on! 3. It is likely to fail on the app (the bulb blinks twice when it is adopted, but HA might still say pairing failed, as seen in image). Don’t be disheartened! 4. Turn the bulb off then on 5 times, give about one second between each on or off click! Last time you turn on, give it 5 seconds and it will reset and do a series of blinks. Turn it off. Go to step 2. It has taken me upto 5 attempts to pair a bulb! Mostly second attempt works! At this point I don’t know what is at fault, the bulb or HA! If you are okay to install the TP Link integration, sometimes it detects the bulb after it has failed to be adopted by HA. But sometimes it doesn’t. So who knows! Also they are end devices not repeaters! Which is really a waste!

Setup was very straightforward using the Tapo app, and Matter support made pairing with Alexa quick. The bulb is very bright at full power and colours are vivid without looking artificial. I mainly use schedules and energy monitoring, which have been accurate so far. Wi‑Fi connection has been stable with no random disconnects. ✅ Pros: excellent brightness, easy setup, Matter support ❌ Cons: app offers many options, may feel complex at first Great smart bulb with strong feature support and reliable performance.
