The stone grey shell is “different”....
I love it, but if you’re expecting a traditional flat-grey, clear-coat....pause for a moment. The exterior is more like a suede or velour to the touch. I did not see any reference to that in the product description. I’ll be interested to see, and will edit here, what the noise and wind drag are like. I don’t expect anything crazy, but it’s definitely different than any helmet I’ve seen in 45 years. That said, The additional room for glasses is great! The headset-ready speaker and wiring channels are helpful, but it’s a modular, so nothing for the mic. I tucked the boom option between the front of the ear piece and the shell. I am using a less well know communicator; not HJC nor the other two... the cut outs for the speakers are well/perfectly placed, and I do not feel them on my ears; excellent! My other HJC’s are 2XL, in this model the 3XL fits me best.

Solid helmet, classic HJC value
After going with a cheaper modular that literally started falling apart within days of light use, it was time to go back to my trustee HJC. This helmet fits me well, is very comfortable, has an intuitive modular system and feels solid. The sun visor works well and is easily deployed and retracted. Do I wish it had a ratcheting chin buckle- you better believe I do. But I can live with rings. I could take a star for the missing ratchet buckle, but I think it deserves 5 stars for what you get considering the price. Great helmet.

Fits Great
I just replaced an old SyMax Helmet that I've had for years. It was a size Medium so I ordered this helmet in Medium. It fits great. Only one thing I don't like about this helmet is that if I flip up the front part of the helmet, it always closes the visor and I have to flip it back open if I don't want it shut. Small complaint but I will get used to it.
